though i was not asked to, but i ll still comment first thing first, these kind of straightforward topics seldom appear in css now, but your outline is good and organized according to the given topic. if you are a beginner than its always a great idea to start with basic topics but if you are aiming to appear in 2016, shift to more argumentative essays, preferably chose some from past papers

but try make a thesis by narrowing down the scope of this topic.

For example, can Islam and west coexist?

My humble suggestion is to take chanllanging topics like the one suggested by Abdullah, because in @Safeer's words, These cause real pain in the mind and will help in broaden our horizon of thoughts. So it is good topic POLITCIS NOT RELIGION IS CAUSE OF CONFLICT/CLASH
