My essay score in my first attempt was 55

Following are the answers of your questions....

1: There is no perfect length of an outline. It's all depends on one's style and title of an essay. However, one has to subdivide the outline in various dimensions (social, political, economic, strategic etc.) to cover all the aspects of an essay and mention recommendations in the end before conclusion.

2: As far as paragraphs are concerned, one needs to follow the rule of thumb: one paragraph holds one idea. For example, if you've multiple points under the sub topic of social issues, you've to write each para on each point.

3: Numbering is not necessary, you can mention main points and subpoints through different bullet symbols.

4: yes, quantity matters. You have to write at least 20paras in an essay.

In the end, I'll suggest you get your essays checked by some mentor. It is indispensable to qualify the essay paper.
