CSS: 2013 (Failed in GK, Psychology, Muslim Law)
My Score in Essay: 50
Topic: Gender Equality is a myth
Style: Written against the topic, proved Gender equality is a reality
How: Emphasized that we need to differentiate between the gender equality and gender discrimination not on the basis of equal participation in all walks of life, but on the basis of the physical and psychological differences between the two genders. When we recognize these differences, we recognize the occasional difference of rights, roles and obligations is a necessity enforced by nature, not by the humans themselves. Also highlighted that the flexibilities for rights and obligations in different social structures, (i.e. religions, cultures) exist for both genders, and not any one of them.

Essay Length: 8 pages
word count: approximately 1650-1750
Marks: 51 (ALHAMDULILLAH)
Just wrote whatever came to my mind, don't remember the details now but as long as my memory serves me right, it was simple with only 1 quotation & 1 idiom.

28 marks in topic 'let me take care of today tomorrow shall take care of itself. Had exactly the same thoughts as described in the outline of Mr adul rauf. But the negative point I have is that I can't make an impressive outline. Can somebody tell me if outline is a must? Or one can directly start an essay? My brother is in 37th common and he didn't make any outline. I failed in only English essay while clearing all the papers with good marks in all of my three attempts of CSS. While I scored 56 marks in English essay in PMS 2011. I didn't make any outline in that paper. I think it's my poor outline which caused me failure

5000 candidates appear in PMS but in CSS more than 10000
So in order to break the clutter one must draw outline.
You got 28 it means your essay was read and understood
In CSS Essay examiner usually Pass 1000 candidates maximum so one has to be in top 1000 if you are 1001 then you are going to fail anyway.
In css 2013 your merit number in Essay according to my guess is 1200 that is why you got 28
My teacher says impressive outline hardly matters what matter is that it should project your Essay.

Main points:
*Demonstrations against blasphemous acts in Muslim World
*Using free speech against religion(ISLAM) in west (I mainly focused on this point & wrote in detail)
*Islamic perspective on free speech
*Media's role in Highlighting free speech
*Why free speech needs to have limitations (my conclusion)

Let me share my experience with Essay, in 2009, I attempted an essay about democracy and forgot to write the outline but still could score 48 marks in that very paper. In KPPMS 2011, as there's no need of outline so I could secure 44 marks and cleared the whole exam. In 2012, I made an outline and failed by securing only 35 marks. In 2013, again made an outline and could secure only 33.
SUGGESTION:If you want to excel in this paper, don't write the outline at the start but leave some space for this and after you're done with your essay, then write down your outline in an organised and systematic way.

So there is the difference in checking essay paper of PMS and CSS . One discouraging thing is that my score decreased from my first attempt of CSS to last. Although PMS essay was my first ever experience. Now I will have to wait for PMS 2013 result. What I get in 'cream rises to the top so does the scum' . Adil didn't you get allocated in KPPMS last time?
