AoA,

i wanna have comments from the honorable members to opt Islamiat in Urdu language or in English language.

Which one is more scoring ?
Which one requires less time for preparation ?

Regards,

dear it depends upon u that in which language u feel easy.

i think both are equally scoring and there is no great diffrence.

for preparation it depends upon ur educational background.if ur education is in urdu then u may feel easy in this language and vice versa.

finally it was previously thought that attempting in urdu gives more marks it caused a lot of candidates attempted islamiat in urdu in 2009. so trend may change in this year.

so i would again suggest u that dont think that any language is more scoring.
u attempt in that language in which u feel easy.

regards

acme,

opt it in the language you're more comfortable with. in my case, i can not write more than 4 good sentences in urdu. so i had no choice but to attempt it in english.

i do not think scoring trends across mediums vary.

regards

Wasalam acme

Well same situation with me as Adil,my urdu is really good but my speed of urdu writing is very very slow. After attempting almost all paper is english you develop grip over english writing and things just come naturally in english. But its a personel choice, english or urdu if you prepare little above average it gives you good marks,a little more effort 70 and above is no problem i.e its a scoring subject given that you have prepared it well.
Choice is yours, both eng or urdu require equal time for preparation.
Regards.

it depends upon yur knowledge, as much u study so shall be the reward. not necessary you attemp the paper in English or in Urdu. study hard and u'll get the reward insha ALLAH.

yeah, it's somewht scoring, but it also depends upon yur preparation. prepare well either in Urdu or in English, it'll give you good score. thanks

Default attempting in English

Aoa,
Dear members... it is being widely adviced to attempt the paper in Urdu, as one can easily include Ashaars, Ahadiths, and Ayaats in Urdu. But dont you guys think that by preparing it in English one has the added leverage.
Added benefits to me are as follow:
i) it aids in enhancing vocab...( i've seen ppl with the GRE books bashing on their heads, so if one is so keen in those ten numbers then why not go about it through the other channel)

ii) as majority is attempting(my assumption) in Urdu , so by attempting in english your competition sphere is shrinked provided you fulfill the requirement of quality i.e inculsion of Ayyats, Ahaades etc

iii) in Essay it would put you in a better position as every year their is an essay regarding islam: war on terror, woman related civilization related( west vs Islam), Islamophobia.

iv) 'CSS is all about english'...if it is anything to go by, then you are definetly getting benefitted( again the added advantage)

If we keep the said points in mind dont you think to opine Islamiyat in English would be a safe bet

Regards

In my opinion the most suitable choice depends on one's command on urdu or english.
If one is good enough to memorize and write fluently in english then he must go for english as the recent trend is Islamia is more contemprory/current affairs.
But if one feel the he can attepmt it in urdu easily then go for urdu.
cant say anyting about scoring but I think score depends on the material u write more and english/urdu choice less.
