Default difference b/w ijtima and ijtihad
ijtima
ijtima k meanis hain kisi cheez per mutfiq ho jana

holy prophet muhammed(pbuh) ki ummat k ulama(religious scholars) ka kis bi maslay(problem) per mutfiq ho jana ijtima khalata hai

eg islam mai men ko sirf 4 masha silver pehnana jaaaz hai, jab watch ijad hoe to ulma nay us ko waqt ki zarorat qarar dayty ho us per ijtima kia aur is ko jaaaz qarar dia, ab tamam men watch penh sakty hai chahy wo kisi bi
metal say bani ho


ijtihad
ijtihad k matlib hai koshis karna

agr kisi masla per koe mazhabi hukam mujood na ho to apni aqal aur samj booj k mutabiq faisla karna ijtihad kahlata hai
eg islam mai chori ki saza hath katna hai, laykin agar kisi qazi ko ye pata na chal raha ho k hath kaha tak katna hai, aur wo apni marzi say koe hal dhood lay jo us k nazar mai bahtareen ho ijtihad khalae ga

ijtihad 1 person bi kar sakta hai jab k ijtima k liey mustand ulma ki ak jamat ka hona zarori hai

So there is quite resemblance b/w ijtihad and ijma. Ijma mey Kisi bat per mutafiq hojana and Ijithad tab hota hai jab kisi maslay ka hal mojood na ho. Hal mil kr doond lia jahay tau mutifika tor per IJMA hoga nai yea?
