Will you help us in political science and Islamic history subjects in which u have taken sufficient marks? What methods and strategies are required to get such score? We need your expert opinion regarding doth subjects. Plz comment over this and guide us .

I am not expert, however in all attempts I scored 130 plus in both subjects (p.sc nd muslim history)
for Islamic history nd culture besides mazhar nd bhattis book i had a book
cultural heritage of Islam by kh jamil ahmed
moreover u ll find quality stuuf from urdu or sindhi Muslim historty books.i mean to say these books will lead u to the path different one frm average scorers.
Political science, i relied on one book thoghts from chaudhry but for constitutions sulatn ahmeds and how states are goverened but keep ureself updated through net by reading important constitutions nd try to commemorate sm important articles.


Illustrations by drawing diagrams ,charts an at times tables are tactics i applied profusely and secured 411 marks in optionals.

Essay, the proof lies in so many of my posts , unfortunately i had no idea one is supposed to write outline at the start of the essay at that time. I just wrote a rough sketch at the end of my answer sheets. If I had had time off to prepare more, or access full time to ICS at Islamabad, the score in the compulsory would have been better, much better

What about US History?

ah well that was from notes a friend had prepared....really good ones too. The books that i read for US history were varied, ranging from a modern encyclopedia on the subject, to the two slim volumes of an Indian author in the market and one lenghtier book on the topic by a local author M.Yousaf.But the books never had the info as required in one whole piece.
I am sorry i don't remember the names of the authors, i ll have to dig through the old books. But try and get the encyclopedia they refer in CSS syllabus as a reference book and get hold of some notes.
