Its not about Punjab, Sindh, K.P.K or Balochistan. Its about Pakistan as a federation. If exam is held on federal basis then why seats should go on provincial basis? Inshallah i'll be allocated in 2010 or 2011 as a result of my hard work. I dont need any quotas to get myself allocated. But even having these quotas to keep them in the civil service, people from Sindh, K.P.K and Balochistan are not satisfied. May they never be satisfied.

Punjab should get ALL (100%) seats, as only they deserve to serve and run the country (ironic). I hope this will make you happy and satisfied . I wish you good luck and will advise you to work hard next time so you may qualify on Punjab quota.

@ Yousafzai.

Dear i dont want Punjab to get all the seats. Rather i would like to see that the top candidates should get the seats whether they are from Sindh, Punjab, KPK or Balochistan. If there are 300 seats, then top 300 candidates on merit list should get the allocation. In top 300, there are so many people from Sindh, Balochistan, KPK. But atleast this should not happen that people with more marks should be left high and dry while those with lesser marks get allocated.

It means, all those who manage to go good universities, have good universities, get all css seats! I would further suggest that, there is more need to observe quota, i mean who have access to better schools should have separate merit, government school, and backwards districts and so on. in whole Punjab case most of the seats goto lahore pindi and some other big cities.

poor of the punjab r also at losing end.

education and opportunities and education is not same my dear in pakistan.
one who go to elite school, college and then university. even UK or USA and then compete with, one who would go "taat school' and was selling newspaper when was in matric, teaching tuition, 3pm to 11pm , during css preparation while other had luxury of elite academies!

yet if we have chance to share little seats, u cry!
first give all the candidates level playing field, then shout!

Moreover, for a person holding the administrative, decision making, and authoritative seats (such as ACO, APA, ASP and above etc) it's critical to know the local languages, culture, and even thinking, then he/she will be able to take correct decisions and solve local issues (disputes). I cannot see a person from Sindh/Punjab serving effectively in the remote areas of KP and vice versa. Leave alone the sense of deprivation!

work hard. make ur mark by beating candidates of the other provinces rather than taking what belongs to them. number 500 is not better than 200 morally .now lets talk about small cities 2006 topper belongs to gujrat a small town of punjab and 2007 topper belongs to sind. do not moan and wine. just try to perform better

You just picked exceptions, and exceptions don't make a rule.

there are many sindhis and pakhtoons in the list even this time.get what u think is yours by going through the candidates of the other provinces rather than being at 600 and getting allocation. this is by no means fair to them who are high in the merit

Why we don't criticize quota in others walk of life?? Why there not be quota when the actual resources of Pakistan are being divided on the basis of Population?? The Principle there is not the merit, but POPULATION my dear, population is the rule of the day here in our country.

I was writing on some other thread that focused letter written to the editor of dawn to abolish data. I just say "If you want merit, set it as a rule in every walk of life not just css, otherwise one is not insisting on merit, he is insisting on hypocrisy"

No personal feeling here...
