Hi, I dint want to leave you wondering, so I decided to share my experience today.

I was pretty nervous to start with, on my way there, I was trying to read things but really could'nt understand much . Well, when I reached the centre, It was not really that bad, the building was not as daunting as I had expected, the staff was friendly and after seeing one or two familiar faces, I felt at ease.

Inside the hall, I was unsure about some rules and answer sheets etc, luckily the guy sitting behind me was there for his 2nd attempt, so I quickly asked him a few questions before they distributed the question papers.

Prayed and took the paper, was a little surprised, but did not lose heart really, took about 5,8 minutes to decide and then went to the last page of the answer sheet to do the rough work, and well, went ahead with it.

Leaving the hall was a relief, yet doubts are always there, specially in exams. So yes, I got out, called my friends, told them what I had done, told my parents, heard some encouraging words and felt better

That is pretty much it, took lunch, came back for second paper, was immensely tired because I could not sleep the night before the exam, not at all, and I was up all day, but, it was not really a big issue. After the 2nd exam, relief over took, the thought of a day off the next day was like a blessing like none other at the moment

That is pretty much it, please remember me in your prayers, I am quite nervous and scared...lets see how things go, InshALLAH Ameen, they will go great for me and everyone

Question

my precis paper was good, esply the precis was quite easy.
but the essay paper was quite difficult because of the fact that none of the SO CALLED EXPECTED TOPICS were there in the list. No global warming, no globalization, no energy-water-food bla bla crisis, no democracy, no good governance...hehe...i mean seriously. topics like third gender status made me worried. but then i opted for the obvious choice for me and that was natural resources n mismanagement wala topic. i would say essay was fine, lets see whats happens.

The center where we were to give the most important exam in the country was playing songs from indian movies on a loud speaker so that was pretty much encouraging. It not only played role in dividing the attention. till paper 2 it all had became very hectic indeed. Essay paper was kind of okie , all i am worried is precise !

Post Share your experience of CSS-2010.

Hello everybody. This was my second attempt. After my interview of css 2009, i was in a fix whether to appear this time or not. I had one and a half month left for preparation of css-2010. But after consultation with all my friends i decided to re.appear this time because the result is pending till June. By the grace of Allah almighty it turned out to be a blessing in disguise as i feel that this time i have performed comparatively better.

Compulsory papers were very much similar to 2009 papers. Islamiat paper was little bit easy this time than last year as this time they asked about resurrection. freedoms and limitation of women etc. C.Affairs and Pak.Affairs papers were good ones and thought provoking. Precis paper was easy this time.

As far as optionals are concerned Indo-Pak paper one was a bit surprising while paper two was easy. Political science papers were easy this time than last year. I.R. paper was also easy.

Atmosphere was great, weather this time was pleasant than last time as last year exam was held in April/May. Best of Luck to all the candidates. I welcome all candidates to share their experience of css-2010 exam.

Hello all

Well Well Its over now! after so much tension ,efforts and preparation its over.....CSS 2010 has been one of the greatest experience of my life...

March 6:The day started with anxiety ,I entered the hall with hope .First paper was as unusual (as it happens to be)and adventurous.Attempting Essay paper is one of the most adventurous moments of life...three hours ,a lot to write , time flies ,ideas come and disappear with a flash, you try to concentrate and also watch the WATCH,suddenly you find that time is over................................I enjoyed attempting this paper.A lot of brain storming, and then writing for three hours justifying your points ...Its great! believe me it is full of adventure....Finally I came out of the Hall satisfied .

The next paper was quite easy...I made a precise hurriedly as I spent a lot of time on the NOTE/Expansion. nevertheless it was good a attempt.

EDS was again easy this year.it was good.Current affair was a bit difficult but I solved it and attempted it expressing my ideas and comments like an analyst..In this paper I discovered that I too can be an ANALYST

Islamyat was not at all Islamyat.IT was like current affairs..all based on subjective and applied knowledge...It was a bit unusual .Pakistan studies was easy this time.IT went well

Next was History(Indo-Pak)Paper 1 was difficult.but paper II was easy.Paper II was easily and nicely solved than I.

Journalism was again very easy but sociology was very difficult....at lest I felt so..It was throughly applied in nature....

Lastly Urdu I was not so good but Paper II was easy and good.

Last day is a memorable day...I came out of the HALL with hope and confidence....

Its over now .It was a human effort, now it is up to the Divine Will to grant me success or failure..I don't know the future BUt looking forward to the future with hope and a smile

Remember me in your prayers.Wish you all aspirants a best of LUCK in your endeavors..

Best Regards

Mossavir,

Hmm, it seems like we both have hinged on the same topic for essay. Would you mind to post your essay outline? I hope it will be imprinted on your mind :-P

Thanks

Hey All,

This was my first attempt, and I had started my preparation just abt 2 months back. I was indecisive about taking the exam this time or not. Then i decided to take the exam, in order to get through the experience. I believe i made the right choice, as exam drill is very exhausting, and no matter how prepared one is, the pressure of the exam days has a big impact.

Though, my exams didnt went real well, but I am hopeful. The new trend of asking for analysis, and not relying only on ratta, is a good move of FPSC. This trend should be highly appreciated. I have tried my best to come up with good quality, self developed responses to the questions, and am hopeful.

But at the same time I have started preparing for the next attempt, As I am also working, so i donot get full days for my prep.
