I literally don't get it, interview panel was same in all the centers, with an exception of one person at times. How can u blame difference of centers for results' discrepancy? I personally think, most ppl take psychological test very lightly, though it has an impact of ur selection n interview marks.

Thanks Nauman for pointing out and you may be right but I have some point here.

Firstly, I was speaking totally in terms of HR professional. As far as CSS is concerned, I dont know what the real criteria of viva marks is, Is there anyone who believe he does? , but the market practices are what I have described. As per best HR practices, written marks of any test do not have to do anything with the interview. That is why written and interview is given different and separate ratio. Applying this practice to CSS may help. In case of CSS this ratio is 40% compulsory, 40% optional and 20% viva.

Secondly, have you been able to make a correlation between written and viva marks. I could not. I have seen people having +700 in written grabbing only ~ 150 as well as some having +600 grabbing +200.

Thirdly, as per my information only chairman has the info about written marks of an individual whereas the other members do not know. (This info may be incorrect as I did not recheck it)

Fourthly, I never negated the importance of psychological assessment in viva marks. In fact it is this report which plays a larger part. That is why I have talked about gesture, posture, communication, attitude etc. These qualities are better judged in psychological assessment.


So, the bottom line is psychological assessment plays a very important role - I never negated - whereas written marks, as per best practices of HR market, seems to have no effect.

i have no background of psychology bt had interest.
selective study with the help of past ten years ppr gave me this score .
i studied frm B.A level bk sherbano , also from robert fieldman plus wayne weiten.

mostly i did from robert fieldman. n diagrams i drew wherever necessary
