My bad... I guess the other member who desribed the rule confused me about this ridiculous rule FPSC changed in CE-2013.

And you know what, the wording of the rule is exactly the same but only the word "or" is removed and this "or" has slayed many deserving candidates since CE-13.

CE-2012
Rule 11(a): a candidate who fails to secure at least 40% marks in any complusory subject, 33% marks in any optional subject, "or" 50% in Aggregate and 100 marks at Viva Voce will be considered fail.

CE-2013
Same rule: a candidate who fails to secure at least 40% marks in any complusory, subject 33% marks in any optional subject,50% in Aggregate and 100 marks at Viva Voce will be considered fail.

How cruel FPSC has become. Allah jane last attempt m kia banega....

i was expecting to pass only in composition and fail in all others but the result was surprising. I failed in composition and passed in all other papers :O :P

My 1st attempt (without any preparation)
Made and designed many plans.. 1st for 5 months then squeezed it to 2 months, in last for 1 month n then 1 night before paper

Well Here is what i did without preparation as this was an attempt just to check what CSS looks like

General Knowledge
GK1 (Everyday Science) 100 53
GK2 (Current Affairs) 100 35
GK3 (Pakistan Affairs) 100 55 143/300
Islamiat 100 42


Public Administration 100 28
Sociology 100 43
Journalism 100 44
Psychology including Experimental psychology
Paper A 20
Paper B 38
Punjabi 100 54


I am still happy.. I just wanted to see where i fall without anything being prepared.. Insha'ALLAH in 2016 i will appear with preparation
