I chose Indo-Pak because I am very fond of history and wanted to study our local events of the past. Plus, it also helped a lot in Pakistan Affairs as Paper-II of Indo-Pak History had the same syllabus and Pak Affairs. I scored very good marks in Indo-Pak History in my previous attempts. But recent changes in the syllabus have made Indo-Pak a bit lengthy if you are starting from scratch so take that in consideration as well. US History is "shortest" of all in terms of the length of syllabus but I don't think it helps a lot in IR because all of IR is in European context. You just need to look at the syllabus to see that. If you are opting IR and want to complement it with a history subject, I would suggest that you choose European History. It is lengthy but it will be a massive help for you as the historical events help in understanding IR as well. You can always use that knowledge in Essay too. |

From the result, I analyzed that, in order to pass, one should not do any job along with the CSS preparations. Keeping in mind this year's result, I think only a full time student may get the chance to pass the CSS exam....what do you say?:

Not necessarily. I am doing job and passed, Alhamdulillah.
Full-time study has its own pressures! |
