Work on precis, you will need an english teacher to check this one too
while paragraph writing, try to learn new words conjunctions idioms phrasal verbs and try to incorporate in your writing... (but when you are writing in exam dont forcefully insert words etc )
Second area after english to work is current affairs... i joined an academy and took lectures from a journalist...hes a remarkable teacher... i suggest following dawn paper, diplomat, jwt magazine and reading editorials... editorials helps in english and analysis...develop interest in current affaurs, watch news and broaden your horizon...try to write notes on ongoing topics say kalboshan case
For mcqs of each subject, i did mcqs of past papers since 2000
rest optionals and eds and isl... i gave 15 to 20 days to each... books are different for each and in fact there were no books for new syllabus so google was my best friend... i have mentioned books in different posts.. if anyone wants she/he can ask again
i tried to sum up.... hope it helps...best of luck
Excellent strategy. Thank you for sharing. Please tell me how you prepared general science and ability?

Sir, did you give mock tests in any academy?
And what are your sources for current affairs other than dawn?
How can a candidate know that how to write answers in international relations as they have a specific pattern? Should he must give mock tests in any academy and take guidance from there teacher? Or is there any other way around? i mean without the academy?
Kindly answer my queries. I'll be grateful.

Mock test: yes but only essay
source of ca: diplomat bbc ... just google the topic and use all credible sources like international newspapers and magazines
Ir answers : i think find a person with ir masters and make him guide you how to answer and check your answer. i contacted an ir student on thi forum as i could not get teacher at academy
need of academy : see its all subjective. academies only guide you. if you can have that guidance from seniors elsewhere you dnt need academy... i had no csp even in my acquaintances plus i thought being a science student i need a comprehensive course on current affairs and english too. asses according to your circumstances

My situation is same as yours. I am an engineer with no csp in acquaintances. I have studied essay from a good teacher, but suffering to get help regarding International Relations (answer structures mainly) because no good teacher or academy is available in my city.
One more thing; do diplomat and jwt magazines are enough for both current affairs and IR or we have to consult another magazine for IR (current affairs related part)?

See in current affairs, i did nt have to do that much effort because teacher in academy was really good like he would cover all aspects of topics and taught topicwise. So i did nt follow many sources. (but somehow i could nt score well in ca i dnt know what happened. But still ca helps in PA IR essay and even isl and it did )
Moreover, i did nt follow diplomat and other sources likr i would read full magazine.Instead i used to google syllabus topics and then i would read links which i think can be credible be that bbc or independent or anythng
