Question Should one tell about CSS in general Interview?

As the subject states, I want to know whether one should tell about his endeavors and preparations of CSS/PMS or not at all when he is taking general type of interviews. I mean, if I'm giving 16/17 -BS interview to PPSC or any other organization, should I tell in introduction that I'm preparing for CSS or I've taken papers of CSS/PMS?
I've heard that the panel discourages such candidates most of the time. Or, they ask tough questions etc.,etc.

I remember I appeared before FPSC panel after failing my first attempt of CSS in 2010. I told them about my css experience and the chairman of panel said why didn't I apply again for css and proposed that I should go for it again. I endorsed his advice, nonetheless, I was recommended for the post for which the interview was conducted. They placed me 1st in Punjab and 5th on merit list of 78 candidates.

That is to say, in my case, telling them about my css history did prove useful.

Regards

Good! Thanks dear!
Actually, I have heard many a time that if you mention CSS/PMS etc., the panel assume that the interviewee won't remain in the very department which he is going to join after the interview. Obviously, many CSS/PMS aspirants have a edge in studies and general knowledge as compared to their fellows. That's why, I was confused whether to mention it or not.
