I went throuugh psychological tests yesterday and today. Salient features were

DAY : I

1. Form filling

2. IQ test:
I. Conssisted of mainly series completion
II. Vocab
III..Few simple questions on %

2. Personality related questions
e.g. I like to meet friends
Three options given like (very rare, often, ?)

3. sentence completion
i feel ashamed..........
I feel shy.............
I often feel sad..........

4. Proforma completion

Again personality traits like strngth, weakness, info abt parents, personality discription and many more

5. Story writing (4 stories in 16 mints)

i.e he came out of his house in dipair..................

6. Important evente of life

couple of brakes given in between

End of day I

No idea as yet abt PMS psycho tests or interview. My sr# is 488 among PMS qualifiers.
Aabove-mentioned experience is of CSS 2012 psychological tests.

DAY 2

Day 2, unlike day one, was more a group activity. At about 8:45 we were led into a waiting room by the official where we marked our attendence. Then we were lined up in decending order and taken to group discussion room where very serious-looking a foursome of psychologists were waiting. We sat in prescribed order.
One of the two malemember welcomed us in avery polite manner about upcoming events of the day. First of those was:

Group discussion.

Urdu topic:

"16 DECEMBER KI TAREEKH SE HUM NE KOI SABAK NAI SEEKHA"

15 mints were given, most participants endorsred the statement.

English Topic:

"IT REVOLUTION AND SOCIAL MEDIA IS ERODIND OUR SOCIO-ETHICAL VALUES"

Again 15 mints "aur sub ne apnay apnay hisab se media per apni bharas nikali"

2nd activity : COMMAND TASK

Again we were briefed about next activity that was coomand task.

My task was an administrative problems faced by DCO.
It performed my task on 3rd number. There were some hiccups to startwith but soon things got settled down rather nicely and it went well.
I had no issue with time-management unlike most of participants because I had a good look at the cloch before kicking-off. Psychologist were very strict with time limitations and they literally forced people out of hot seat by repeatedly ringing bell once 8 mints were over.

It was rather temprament testing activity as being a group of ten, it took long time. Afterwars, we left the room and were taken to waiting room where performance was evaluated.
Psychological interiew was last activity

Sir did you join any academy for psych and interview prep or have been on your own? and you are just sharing the activities, which albeit a great and commendable effort on your part, but it would be even better if you also tell us how to tackle these things.....

Need for akadmy for written part of preparation may be relevant, but I did not resort to any. For psychological assessment, need of akdmy, to me, is simply irrelevant because it is basically not a test of knowledge. One need to be orignal and dont have to act artificially, it helps a lot.
