Default European or Indo pak history? Which is high scoring based on trends and facts?

I am selecting subjects these days, which of these two will be a better option... i want some guidance abt it.. European history is a new subject to me and i know a person who got 128/200 in it in his 3rd attempt in CSS in euro history. Indo pak history has a poor scoring history in css over the years i have heard, but in 2006-07 i have heard it yielded good marks. indo pak history is certainly easy but is it high scoring and what abt european history?? any comments

Salam Haider imam.i hope you are doing fine. i read your query regarding selection of european/ino-pak history.when i started my prerpration one of my collegues who gave css 2006 attempt guided me.now i come to the point.it is entirely dependent on you how you fare up in any subject.if you look at the past papers of european history and its syllabus ,you will notice that it is more diverse than any other history.it encompasses all the european continent.if you haven't studied history during your schooling then its obvious to drop it.now if you look at indo-pak,you surely have read about it till grade 10.make a smart choice.select those subjects about which you have some know-how.whatever history you choose, css is an exam which tests your cramming skills.you are an electrical engineer and i can guess wildly about your cramming skills.i myself am an electrical engineer.i selected british history and i repent.my css 2008 british history paper was an excellent attempt exceeding my expectations by 30%.but that was entirely a lucky chance.british history or indo-pak normally give you 140-150 if the wind is on your side.anyhow i thoroughly believe in you.it is my humble request that you contact people who have taken their chances.make a smart choice.please review the papers and keep asking members on this forum.meanwhile you can visit patiala house near bagh-i-jinnah.there you can find boys well versed in optional subjects.last but not least the winds are always on the side of the ablest navigator.well i wish you success and progress.Allah hafiz

Long Live U.E.T

@ haiderimam,

I have a word of advice for u. If u want to save time & yield good result, go for Indo Pak History. It has 2 advantages viz a viz European History. One, it saves ur time for Pak Affairs ( Compulsory ). Second, as rightly noted by HERO, u can secure upto 140 marks in it.

Considering the result of last 2 years result, Indo Pak History has an edge over European History.

Thanks a lot for adding precious views. I think there should be very strong reason to chooose history other then indo pak history if you have to do so.. Indo pak history is always good option.

Only -ive is that if its good scoring trends change at my time of attempt, it will be pure bad luck, like it was in end of 1990s, no one wanted to opt for indo pak history as it was believed low scoring

But in css, u have to be well prepared to face any sort of paper and situation

----

I just want to add a point here abt european history that i have now done some research and found that people have scored 130s and 140s in euro history in 2006-7. So its not bad option, provided u have interest

Indo pak history has a big advantage of being familiar to us and overlapping with pak affairs, but it requires solid planning and study to score 140s in it.

Even i have found same level scores in british histroy, so only thing i feel is that one should have interest and some background knowledge preferably for choosing histroy subject, hes choosing...

I have seen scores of 80s in History of USA... I really didnt know that people have scored this high in history subjects

all history subjects are hot and scoring, depending on level of preparation
