Default The way of attemptign US Hist: CSS-2014

Asslam o alaikum Please suggest me how to attempt this paper. I have dropped indopak and opted US History. In Indopak I attempted all of the questions like in essay style with outlines.

Now my question is that how to attempt this particular subject, whether should I attempt with outlines or without outlines?

Second question is that which maps are to be prepared for US History? I want to draw maps in this paper, I use Majumdar's books and officer academy's notes. There are some maps, the maps are of older USA and today's USA. Now, which maps are important.

Apart from that let me know the important quotations, in my upcoming attempt I want to attempt every question with the start and end with quotations. So, in this regards which important quotations are to be prepared?

Lastly, should I attempt it with outlines like essay or without outlines like heading and subheading?

And is conclusion and introduction necessary to write down in every question?

No need to go through maps because there would be little need of that. Westward Expansion and North-South rivalry in terms of civil war and slavery may baffle your mind for sometime but if you read that again and again then there wouldn't be any problem.
Moreover, you've also asked for how to attempt, in this context heading and sub-heading is a better way for your expression in the paper. No need for abstracts and summary at all.
Good luck

Default History of US

yes. I have two attempts (total five attempts 3CSS and 2PMS), one CE2013 and the other KPPMS2013. Previously History of USA was not my optional.
In CE2013, I got 53 (KPPMS result awaited) but the reason behind my poor performance was that I couldn't fully concentrate on the subject.
I prepared 22 questions in all and I was in a position to attempt almost all the questions on the paper. Some of my friends in KPPMS got enviable marks in this subject and that's why I opted for this. I'll suggest the Majumdar book plus some other questions related to the WOT and post-modern American history.
If you want to excel in this subject, you must task yourself with selective study based on the questions asked in the previous papers and fully prepare those very questions. I do have the catalog of those very questions, if you need that ask me then, it would be my pleasure to share. Good Luck!

My main focus is on the notes of officers academy. Apart from that I read also majumdar's books. But Majumdsar's books are very lengthy and their unclear txts/fonts irritate me. However, whenever I feel difficulty in any topic, then I prepare that topic from majumdar's books.

Great Dear. Yes, please inbox me. My email address is in my profile.

Thank you so much..

Post List of Important Topics for History of US

Friends!
Following is the list of most important questions which have been repeated the most in the paper of History of the US.
Part 1:
1. Causes, results and significance of the war of independence.
2. Delay in the formation of the union and theories of Federalists (Hamilton, John Jay and Madison) and Anti-Federalists (Henry Lee, Patrick Henry and Thomas Jefferson).
3. Purchase of Louisiana.
4. Jefferson’s democracy and his philosophy of government.
5. Marbury vs. Madison case (1803).
6. James Madison and war with England.
7. Missouri compromise 1820.
8. Monroe doctrine.
9. Characteristics of Andrew Jackson’s Presidency.
10. Westward expansion.
11. Wilmot proviso and Compromise of 1850.
12. Slavery and its abolition movement.
Part 2:
13. Civil war 1861-65:
a. Causes
b. Significance
c. Problems created by the war
d. Post-war reconstruction
e. Role of Abraham Lincoln before, during and after the war
14. Economic transformation:
a. factors responsible
b. Rise of big businesses
c. Impacts of economic transformation
15. Progressivism
16. Theodore Roosevelt
17. Dollar diplomacy
18. Wilson and New-Freedom
19. America and 1st WW (Wilson’s 14 points and rejection of the treaty of Versailles included)
20. Causes of Great Depression and its impacts.
21. Franklin Delano Roosevelt and the New Deal.
22. US and 2nd WW.
23. Truman’s Doctrine (March 19th, 1947).
But please don’t consider it as a last word, my intention about sharing this list is not to promote selective study but just to give you an idea about how the papers can be tackled in an efficient manner. I need to share my experience of International Law (CE2013) when I gone selective but when faced the paper there was only one question which I could attempt, owing to my selective study, but fortunately, my specialization in International Affairs saved me from humiliation and could manage to get 48. As I told you in my previous post that you must also prepare some important questions pertaining to US role in the WOT and from its post-modern history so please don’t forget that point.
Anyhow, Good Luck!
