Dear Stunner,

I have opted for Islamic history and culture. I have read philip K. Hitti, History of Saracen, History of muslim spain and Karen Armstrong's history of Islam. I know that in CSS examination, controversial topics starting from Elections of rightly guided caliphs to their rule would not come.

Please guide me as how to proceed. I love the controversies because they give an alternate view point. But, should this information be presented in paper?

Also please provide me with details how to proceed towards my prep.

Best Regards,
Daniyal.

Dear Daniyal,

Presenting controversies with a sound analysis in Islamic History paper will not hamper any scroing prospects, however, this cannot be done regarding lives and eras of the 'rightly guided caliphs' at all ..

As for other topics you can do so but such accounts should be presented with solid arguments and proper references .. As for the query relating approaching your preparation, I think topic by topic preparation from the syllabus will be the best way to do so ..

Regards ..
