Default Explain these lines please
Hello all! Hope you are doing well.
Please help me understand the following lines from Oliver Goldsmith's poem The Deserted Village:

"Ill fares the land, to hastening ills a prey
Where wealth accumulates, and men decay"

A short summary or explanation can help make out the meaning of the lines. Please help. Thanks

Default rework the syntax!
Haven't read O. Goldsmith myself, but the decoding of these lines just needs a little reworking of the syntax:

the land fares ill, (becoming) a prey to hastening ills
(that land) where wealth accumulates, and men decay (because of the accumulation of wealth)
