Is nazm mein Faiz apnay mehboob se mukhatib hain.Shaiyir kehta hai k jis kaifiyat se mujhe guzerna para,meray mehboob pe wo kaifiyat na aye.tumharay chehray pe udasi ka basaira na ho.Tum jo khushgawar kaifiyat mein rehti ho,khuda na karay k is kaifiyat ka ikhtamam ho.Shaiyir dar'parda apni kaifiyat bayan ker raha hai k Ishq mein wo kis qadar nidhaal hai aur wo nahi chahta k us ka mehboob bhi wo takleef bardasht keray jo shayir ker raha hai.
shaiyir kehta hai k khuda na karay jo us k mehboob ki jawani dhalay ya gham us ki zeest ka muqaddar ban k reh jayen.Ya us ka gharoor aajzi mein dhalay.Shaiyir ki ye dua us k dard ko zahir kerti hai k us k liye muhabbat ki saza kis qadar karri hai.wo kehta hai k tujh pe meray mehboob wo waqt na aye k tujhe b kisi jhootay waaday k saharay umer baser kerni paray.Baqol Ghalib;

teray waaday pe jiye ham tou ye jaan jhoot jaana,
k khushi se mar na jatay ager aitbaar hota....

aakhir mein shaiyir apni jaanib ishara ker k kehta hai k khuda karay tujhe kabhi ye yaad na aye k mein ab bhi teri zulfon k saaye ka talabgaar hun.aur ab bhi mera dil teray wisaal k liye tarrapta hai.tujhe kabhi yaad na aye k meri ankhen teri deed ko tarasti hain.baqol Faiz;

Tum aaye ho na shub`e intezaar guzri hey
talaash mey hey sahar, bar bar guzri hey
