GeographyI+II Take Part & get prepared for CE13
Take Part and get prepared (Geography Paper-I) here exclusively for CSS-2013
Salam to all members...... After attempting Pakistan Affair and Islamiat's questions. We have really improved a lot. Therefore, now I have started this vital thread for Geography. All members, especially the active members and other members who have opted Geography are highly requested to take part in this thread like earlier. I am sure, inshALLAH this thread will also be beneficial for Geography Paper to the great extent. In my case, this is the most important and vital thread for CSS. Because Geography is very much scoring subject and we have to covert it in all perspective... Strategy 1-We have to attempt one question on the daily basis similarly like Pakistan Affairs and Islamiat inshALLAH. 2-One question has 20 Marks according to the CSS trend. 3-Try to attempt with outlines, references, definitions, explanations, facts and figures, visuals and with other sources according to fully updated facts and figures as much as you can. It will highly be appreciated and also marking as well. 4-InshALLAH We will be attempting our questions according to the CSS syllabus and past papers in ordering way for both papers i.e. Paper I and II. (Firstly, We are starting its first paper) 5-All members are requested to point out mistakes, blunders and minor mistakes as well in order to be error less. 6-We have to cover whole Geography syllabus according to Past Papers and also members are requested to share their questions for upcoming attempt which are considered important(CE-13) in order to attempt here with different minds and different styles. So, dearest members especially active members I wish you very best of Luck for this Geography paper attempting. I am sure inshALLAH you will be attempting outstandingly like earlier attempts. Note:- PearlyS, Fassi, Tobabar, shekeel and other members are requested to take part in Islamiat, and InshaLLAH we are going to cover both subjects simultaneously. Soon after completing Islamiat we also will have to start the remaining portion of Pakistan Affairs. Now just be practical and take part on regular basis because time is very short. Wish you All the very Best... Regards..... Sara..... |

internal structure of earth: internal earth depend on three layers crust . mantle . and core
crust: it's only 0.5 percent of earth it divided into 2 division crusts continental crust and ocean crust continental crust is thick then ocean crust because it contain mountains ocean crust which is in ocean it's thin layer then continental crust. mantle: it's below from crust of the earth it's total 89% volume of the earth it's divided into upper mantle and lower mantle lithosphere and asthenosphere is also part of the mantle core:it's below from mantle it's divided into outer core and inner core upper core contain solid and inner core contain liquid it's temprature about 6000 degree celcius: it's my first time what do you think about my answer sorry for mistakes because it's my first time. |

Q:1- Explain the internal structure of the earth with special references to earthquake waves?(20 marks) Ans: Introduction: We have not been into the earth so far. But the geologists have discovered and assumed the internal structure of the earth with the help of seismic waves and have the earth have been divided into layers. The waves which can be measured in accordance with the scientific trend. However, while the earth quake waves at certain direction the scientific measurement can be done exclusively. Thus, it is the concrete evidence which explain the internal structure of earth i.e in solid inner core, liquid upper core, mantle and upper mantle respectively with the help of seismic waves. Internal structure of Earth with the help of Seismic Waves However, it is said in the introduction that the internal structure of earth can be justified with the assistance of earth quake or seismic waves. Thus, these waves are mainly two sort of waves. L-Waves: L-waves or longitude waves which use to travel along the surface of the earth. Body Waves Whereas body waves are of two sort i.e. P and S waves: P-Waves: P-Waves are called the Push waves or also primary waves. And the function of these waves are to shake the earth and these waves usually travel along the direction and destruct the earth's environment. Moreover, these sort of waves get their movement in the form of liquid. S-Waves: S-Waves are called shear waves prominently. These waves have an outstanding importance owing to the justification of the liquid into the earth exclusively while earth quake take place. These are the waves which are considered dangerously while the intensity goes to the immense shaking. Besides, these waves do not move into the form of liquid forms. Internal Structure of the Earth After getting in touch with the studies of seismic waves it can be discussed that there are four sort of layers of the earth. 1- Solid Inner Core: It is the most inner core of the earth. Which is very hurt. Some times it get hot like the Sun. Moreover, according to the study of seismology that its size is nearly 70% of the moon. Besides, it is made up of iron–nickel alloy. 2. Liquid Outer Core: Although it is hotter layer of the earth, less then the inner core. However, the thickness of liquid outer core is 2500 km & its outer layer is 2900 km below the sea level. Moreover, it contains the hotter liquid lava as well. 3. Lower Mantle (Solid): Respectivly, it is on above the liquid outer core. Its thickness is about 2230 km. Besides it is extremly solved and contains oxides of MG, Iron and Si. 4. Upper Mantle This layer of the earth is to be considerved partially molten. It extend from the base of the crust to 670 km below the surface. The zone of the upper mantle just bellows the crust is solid. It contains pores through which lawa comes onto the surface. The Crust: It is the outer layer of the earth. Moreover, it is very thin about between 0-60 km. However, it is the solid layer where we use to live exclusively. In connection with the crust, the Continental crust is the most important that contains two types which are give bellow: 1-Continental crust 2-Ocean Crust Conclusion: With the help of seismic waves or earth quake waves, It can be said that the internal structure of the earth is dived into four layers. Moreover, the study of seismography gives the clear notion about the earth that it is the immensely hottest while we dug the earth going thoroughly crust to inner core respectively. As a matter of fact no one has gone into the earths inner core owing to extensive hottest temperature. Besides, the earth quake waves have an astonishing importance in this regard also in other regard while earth quake takes place. It is the seismograph which gives the calculation of intensity of an earth. |

jahangeerkhan2000, in your first attempt, no problem you have answered precisely. But from your facets and figure and what you have presented , It looks that you are well prepared in this subject. But according to the need of a 20 marks of question it is not acceptable to write down very precisely. Therefore, it is requested to attempt it as I have done it. However, check my question and mark it.... InshALLAH I will be posting the questions until over completation of Geography... I am going to post next question. So, you are requested to attempt it again or will attempt the the next question according the the need of a 20 marks question. I Wish you best of Luck...... Thanks..... Sara....... |

@miss sara,
that was a good attempt i must say. but didnt you forget to discuss the structure of earth with reference to the seismic waves? i mean you discussed about the L, P and S waves but here in this question dont we need to mention how we can deduce the internal structure of earth due to these waves? like we can write that as S waves do not travel through the liquid, so if S waves are not recorded this means that they hve encountered a liquid part within the earth. hence earth has a liquid part... please tell me if i am wrong, coz i a junior member and relatively new to this subject. Regards |
