thirdly, best book for psychology?
Thanks
Dear Fieldman's book is good for Psychology.
For personality tests don't use Sherbano book.
Systems and Schools are the same one.

Psychology, as we know, is a science. And all the books would probably have the same content. There are many books for Psychology like
Undesrtanding Psychology by Robert Fieldman
Psychology by Sundra. K. Ciccarelli.
others like Wayne and Weitin
Robert Baroon
Morgan and King
All are pertinent for Psychology paper.
I have mentioned many books. All of them are easily available. Just use ONE BOOK for one subject.

Default Psychology Vs Zoology

Dear for subject selection keep a few points in your mind.
Your interest in the subject is very important.
Always look at the syllabus and past papers in order to check your compatibility with the subject, because, ultimately it is you who is going go study, and appear in the exam. If you feel you have the capability to deal with the past papers, Only then select a subject.
My friend had very good marks in Zoology, but she couldn't get through Essay paper.

Aoa IHRAM,
What should be the appropriate answer to this question
"How can intelligence be assessed?"
Should we just write about intelligence tests(stanford-binet, WAIS, WISC, IPAT culture free intelligence test, OTIS quick scoring mental ability test)

OR should we write about both MENTAL ABILITY TESTS which includes intelligence tests (as mentioned above), achievement tests and aptitude tests along with a short summary of PERSONALITY TESTS?

No dear you have to answer according to the requirements of the question. Just focus on Intelligence tests.

The theory which has long lasting effect is definitely by Sigmund Freud. He laid the foundation of personality theories. Further more, he put forth many important concepts like consciousness, un consciousness, defence mechanism. Later, Neo Freudians carried on research.

The question as to which theory is widely used.... Each personality theory is built on different assumptions and premises and focuses on some unique pattern of personality. Furthermore, there is no scientific evidence which supports any single theory as the best one.
Freuds theory, though very significant, is not scientifically proven.
Traits theories focus on personality traits only. No mention of other aspects of personality.
Learning approaches focus on external factors that shape personality and largely ignore internal once. However, they are widely used to treat Psychological disorders along with pharmacological treatment.
