well for the first sentence...you have completely changed the meaning i am afraid... so that makes it wrong....as per the statement you are afraid that he will die and any change should not change the meaning of the sentence i assume....
the second one might be ok...i am not sure about it....my title for precise was "In come envy, out goes happiness" ...am not sure about the title too but that was what i could find catchy enough at that time...secondly i wrote a precise of precisely 100 marks....my writing was congested as well...so that made it around 1/3rd of the sheet...a precise is always a shorter version!!

@ Umarabbas
I asked Last Island about the first one, the afraid thing, she says its CORRECT. And regarding the change in the sense, people have commented above changing sense as whole.
Ali Khanz says 5) My friend is very ill, i hope he will soon die. My friend is very ill, I hope he gets well soon isn't the sense changed here ???

brother...go through the question again...it speaks out "Correct the following" now a correction is a change of a word or two in a sentence, not its basic structure, unless there is a grave grammatical mistake...
he may be write... but then so may be the following options then: 1- My friend is very ill, the doctors say he will die soon. 2- My friend is very ill, he may die any moment. 3- My friend is very ill, i think i may loose him. all are correct...i mean its just an example.... consider the statement....your friend is ill and he may die. the question does not state anywhere that you even remotely wish that he may get well soon. the question shows your fear not your wish.... anyways this is for the examiner to decide ... and yeah if the change of sense is allowed i would rather suggest to rewamp all the answers....for example: 1- this house is built of bricks and stones... write this house is built of mud. or....this house is built of Halal ki kamai ....heheheh.... instead of ....this house is built of brick and stone. i hope i am clear....

Demise is the end of existence or activity; failure or termination. So the option is End.

@Rizwan...
Brother...this easy trend has been following for the past two to three years...and i believe primarily it's because of the poor standard of english...many of our brothern found this paper difficult too....so the FPSC guys are deliberately lowering the difficulty of the English paper(s) in order to give the rest of the pack some chance of competing..!!! the english precise paper last year was easy too....infact the last year's essay was also more traditional ya may say!! Women in Islam and so forth...!! Dear Last Island Demise is the time when something ends....therefore it means death....at death life ends....end cannot be a synonym to it as it refers to the "time of end" or "the period of end" and not the end itself....

quite an easy paper i must say..i kept it simple as far as the precis title goes and my title was IS ENVY CURABLE?
1) On Monday he said, "My son is coming today." On Monday he said that his son was coming that day dear, i think you have mentioned the day which is monday two times. i wrote.... he said that his son was coming on monday. because monday is mentioned so u don't need to convert today to that day. this is what i think.
