Default precis 2011 pl evaluate if it is passable or not
i request everybody who appeared in 2011 css exam to comment on my attempt is it true that composition paper cant be passed without passing the precis

Your attempt is a good piece of work. The exact title of the precis is PSYCHOLOGICAL CAUSES OF UNHAPPINESS but your title also conveys the same meaning.

As far as your precis is concerned, the original text of the question contains four causes but you have mentioned three causes. It does not mean your precis is inaccurate. Rather the examiner may deduct mark(s)for this point.

Nevertheless it is a good piece of work.

Dear Imran. You have approached the Passage sensibly but it seems to me too short and brief. In Precis one can not skip or ignore the major ideas and original take of the author in the passage. Moreover, in my opinion, the titile should be catchy, all conclusive, comprehensive, and simple.

Salam,after reading the above precise passage ,i hav felt that it should be more precise.the precise passage should be only one third of the original passage at max.furthermore, it should include all the facts nd imp points using less words.
Finally ,the topic name should be simple, in appropriate words nd it should also reveal central theme of passage

I also feel that ihave missed some important points.I wonder is this precis passable.I am worried due to the common perception that english paper is not passable without passing the precis.What is ur opinion

Off course English paper of precis and composition hinges upon precis as it is of 25 marks. Additionally, Precis paper in CSS is a delibrate attempt on the part of the Federal Public Service Commission to judge the candidate's grip over English. At the same time, all corespondence in administrative posts rely heavily upon your command over Precis. So, Precis is an important component of Precis & Composition paper.

THe original passage is of 360 words and my precis contains 110 words,so 10 words short,besides missing one point regarding causes of unhappiness.
