Allama Iqbal's writings give us a view that his concept of democracy was a little different from the commonly prevalent one .. He was more in favour of a welfare Islamic state .. And remember the verse 'Sultani Jamhoor ka aaya hai zamana' for a different concept about democracy .. Quaid e Azam on the other hand wanted Pakistan to be an ideal Islamic state which would be used to 'experiment Islam' .. Here his quotes regarding status of non-Muslims as equal Pakistani citizens and his address to American Nation about proposed structure of Pakistani state as an Islamic democratic state were to be mentioned .. Now the later part of the question asked for an analysis of the constitutional history of Pakistan keeping in mind the concepts of Iqbal and Quaid .. And clearly one would suggest that our constitutional history has been different from the proposed vision Iqbal and Quaid had about Pakistan .. So, I would disagree that their vision found some place in constitutional history of Pakistan, except the name 'Islamic Republic of Pakistan' .. In other words the implementation is weak .. This is how I would have answered this question .. Others may have different views .. Regards ..

Stunner has grasped the question.
we had to justify in that question whether today we fulfil the condition of quaid's vision about pakistan?? whether we can experiment on our religion freely? it was something based on this philosophy |

1. Both have given the idea of two nations in Sub-continent . And Allama Iabal Like sir syed was mujtahid .His ideas resembles with Jamal -ud-din Afgani who had pannist Islamic approach . But 1930- address is an example of his Ijtehad . Quaid processed his idea in Lahore resolution . 2. Focusing on idea of two nation theory in such perspective would be wrong ? For example exemplifying new world political order demands territory ; that`s why Pakistan came into being ; citing the example of Burmese in Arakan areas where world and all Islamic states are less vocal because it is a hub of consumerism market of the world . 3. Keeping aside later part of question , I would be given credit ? Through Allama Iqbal’s writings and views of Quaid-i-Azam explain their conceptual understanding about the Islamic state. Their conceptual understanding had shifted their thoughts from united India to separated land ? I interpreted the question `s first part this way by giving the example of Burma ,Palestine etc . 4. Question have different themes and tell me I touched the theme of question or not .Frankly tell me ,I would be given 00/20 or would have some award too . I started the question with heading two nation theory is not failed ? It was the last question which I have attempted

I also mentioned Quaid's concept of foreign relations, and the absolute denial of those principles by Liaquat Ali Khan's inclination towards one pole (USA).

If we put a glance over the list of suggested readings prescribed by the FPSC in the syllabus of GK-III (P.A.), we find on number 7 that the book "THE CASE FOR PAKISTAN" is written by Rafiq Afzal. So, the answer should be (a) and not (d). But, the way the question is asked and the word "for" is replaced by the word "of", it gets doubtful and the answers seems to be (d).

The paper was designed for indo-pak history candidates. I agree with someone who termed it history paper rather pak affairs paper in previous posts. The essence of css papers is their trend towards contemporary issues but the inclination of examiner towards history is out of this world really...
