Exclamation MQM under Pressure

THE MQM is under tremendous pressure, both in Pakistan and the UK, as allegations of the party’s alleged links to RAW have surfaced over the past few weeks, along with developments in the Imran Farooq murder case, putting the Muttahida on the back foot. The party has complained of being put on a media trial; this is partially true, as political opponents have used the allegations to tear into the MQM. However, the issues raised — specifically by the contents of party leader Tariq Mir’s reported confessional statement in the UK — are very serious and cannot be brushed aside. On Monday, MQM supremo Altaf Husain, while addressing party cadres over the phone, attempted to answer some of the criticism. He vehemently denied all links to Indian intelligence and trumpeted his party’s ‘patriotic’ credentials. However, one particularly grim warning from the MQM leader is cause for concern for Karachi’s people. Referring to perceived attempts to impose a ‘minus-one’ formula on the Muttahida — ie remove Mr Husain from the leadership — the party chief said that if such developments materialised, there would be “a war” on the streets of the metropolis.

Wait...What?
If I thought charity thing was most absurd now we have crossed all limits.
Trade with India generates revenue and revenue pays the salary.. So far so good. Same money will be used in defense budget as well... Right! and India will be allowing the trade to happen so we can generate revenues while simultaneously developing a massive army and an arsenal of nuclear weapons.
hmmm.. I wonder why?
I am not going to drive a truck there because they are not our enemies and you did a good job of convincing me of that twice.
And thanks for your concern about my depression. I am utterly grateful for that but I am good.

Altaf Hussain has been been protected by the UK government for over two decades. He lives there in a peaceful environment and operates his political party from the comfort of his home.

Nearly all Pakistani governments have formed coalition with MQM during their time in power. Most notable among them was the army. None of them asked the party to call Altaf back to Pakistan to face charges.

In short, Altaf is, and will continue to be, protected by whoever has protected him in the last 20 years(RAW/UK/Army or whoever it is). The day he runs out of favor will not be the day when we have gotten rid of him, it will be the day when his protectors have found a suitable alternative.

So stop wasting your time on MQM.

I am surprised to know that there are people whose loyalty with their political party is far greater than their loyalty with their country.

That is not loyalty with the party or any ideology but loyalty with own vested interests of the politicians.

Default Why not against Mqm?

Our government took action against Axact on the report of New York Time, within 24 hours, without asking about proofs... And why the same government did not take action against mqm , here source of allegations is too a foreign' BBC.?
