People are not supposed to be inducted into civil service on any compassionate grounds. They are selected on merit and government should make sure that people serve the government for an extended period of time.

If age relaxation is increased to 35 years, there will be only 22-23 years in service for someone who takes the exam at 35. The millions which the govt spends on training will go down the drain if the person retires after just 23 years of service.

Moreover, relaxation can never be claimed as a right. If Musharraf's era's wrong things have been undone, good decisions like the reduction of age limit must stay on.

I sympathize if anyone lost out on CSS due to age limits, but instead of cribbing about age limit, try some thing else. CSS is not the ultimate thing in Pakistan.

Regards

ok

oh my lahori bro!

just answer my these simple queations.

Q.why age should not be relaxed up to 35?

it is merit which matters not the age.

it is an meritocracy that matters not age

if 18 of our Ambassadors are non-career Ambassadors are they qualifing for this age criteria?

commissioned officers of Defence forces can joined cival services up to 35 years as cspz

then why not a common man?

in the last this age criterion would not limits opportunities for you also.

5000 HEC p.hd scholars should be considered as potential candidates who are still in pipe line now.
WHY WE SHOULD MAKE LIMITATIONS FOR THOSE SELECTED LOTS?

i m wainting for your answers

Default Age Relaxation

Dear friends if a person is having Master or Above degree as PhD he/she may be allowed to appear in competitive exam of CSS. Age should not be an issue, the problem that we are facing in Pakistan is that the learned people are kept away from responsible posts. If a person is phD he/she will be more beneficial for the service and thus for Pakistan. It will also bring competition among the young ones to study and improve their qualification.

Why a person at an age of 35, who would be earning better than services, would come to civil service?
Will all his efforts to achieve that status in 35 years go wasted for just 20-25 years of civil service?

Default yes age sould not be relaxed

In my opinion the age should not be relaxed as the available service span would be reduced. Those guys who qualified css at the age of 22,23 have enough time to be secretary etc but those guys who succeed at the of age of 35 may not have enough time to get top most positions..........!!!!

Salam to all members.

Well dear amk426 u r telling right may be. but the issue is not to be secretary or top most seat but it is about eligibility only. all of u ppl (CSPs) which avail the opportunity don't be in favor of age relaxation i understand the thoughts. but y me & all others who have to know very late about this exams. so y not age be relaxed for all of them.

my suggestion:

why not have a system similar to that in the USA...any citizen can apply for post of civil servant at any age...except offcourse if you have reached the retirement age...the civil servant is allowed to leave a job anytime...why not have such a system in Pakistan...
