Discuss : Our competent MNAs
Salam to all members. Dear members today i watched live national assembly session 1st time, it was question answers session, during the session i noticed that when any MNA/Minister passed his/her question, the person who was nominated by Speaker / Dy Speaker for answer of such question, he or she neither have caliber to make even a single statement according to context of the question asked nor he or she are able to sit at such level, then i feel its really a need of youth of this country to run the state. what u ppl think.
your views in the favour or against or whatever of such discussion are strongly awaited please. Regards |

W-Salam,
Questions asked on the floor of Assembly are replied by treasury benches. First, I think members submit their questions and then they are forwarded to concerned ministry/department, they prepare reply and the ministr concerned represent his/her ministry by replying questions there. I found them quit competent in this matter. At least they can read a reply and satisfy the members who asked questions. We underestimate our politicians whereas in fact, they are not so incompetent. They have experience in this field and youth can't match them. We should emphasis on changing the system not the faces.

Our politicians lead a very simple and pious life except some of them. They come to attend assembly sessions on motorcycle. :-p

we are great nation
we have great politicians we can compete anyone,anywhere on anything (lose or win is another issue) we have everything in our country mna seat is highly paid considering competency look at what we pay one mna for a simple life with so many works to do(still some work left to do) Monthly Salary : Rs. 120,000 to 200,000 expense for Constitution per month : Rs.100,000 Office expenditure per month : Rs.140,000 Traveling concession (Rs. 8 per km) : Rs.48,000 (For a visit to ISLAMABAD & return): 6000 km Daily BETA during Assembly meets : Rs.500 Charge for 1st class (A/C) in train : Free (For any number of times all over PAKISTAN) i think they never use it Charge for Business Class in flights: Free for 40 trips / year (With wife or P.A.) Rent for Govt. hostel any where: Free Electricity costs at home : Free up to 50,000 units much of load can saved by removing mna's.......... Local phone call charge : Free up to 1,70,000 calls(keep on calling) TOTAL expense for a MNA per year : Rs. 32,000,000 TOTAL expense for 5 years : Rs. 1,60,000,000 we lack only great leaders. corruption increased in each report i think mnas are not duly paid for their work ,so they have to earn through other means(thats a logic behind police .....) besise all these things we have competent mnas who work for their constituency. its not mnas ,its a vicious cycle which keeps on going. it cannot end because system generates such deficits and problems that its not possible we do not lack competency.honesty is required.interruptions by military are biggest reason of corruption because no accountability is done . to have competent mna is not impossible but to maintain their competency is a problem.

Deadly Doctor I agree with you points. They are paid well along with countless privileges. But if we remove the current political leadership from the scene then do we have substitute to fill the vacuum? We have established institutions, problem lies with system not people. Every one speaks about changing system but when they enter into system, they become part of it. Instead of bringing change they are changed.
On the occasion of Martial Law we witness good governance, fair play, reforms and innovations, mega projects and development works and temporarily people get relief. System is same but they amend it while remaining inside the system. Dictators make a good start but later on with the passage of time destruction set itself to the task. Who will change the fate of country is a question mark???

@Bright
You got your point but the question you asked is very intresting and should be discussed. First of all You asked abput the competency. @crown prince Dear you posted somthing else.....regarding their life. One must not believe on such tactics of the politicians. They do so just to impress the common people who belive on what they see, But the competent men must think a step forward. Good and Bad, present everywhere. In Pakistan here also we have good and intelligent politicians and vice versa. Everything depend on the general masses, who they select? Ignorant people will bring ignorants to the Assembly. If some one dont know what is Legislation, how will he ligislate? Pakistan is unfortunate in this regard and we are having many MNAs and MPAs who dont know the meaning of legislation. Our politicians just know horse trading, nepotisim, favouritism, corruption etc. So I think the over all senario is not good and bright rightly pointed out that they are unable to answer accordingly. |

Salamz,
@crown prince common man of Pakistan is not concerned whether the ppl running the country speak urdu english punjabi or sindhi, it is rather wot they practically do to improve the miserable situation. Japanese and chinese conduct their affairs in national language without feeling ashamed of it. Above posted videos can give us a momentarily good laugh otherwise knowing a language other than the national is no criteria of judging a person. Nevertheless, i believe almost all of our MNAs are hollow in words as well as actions. |
