She was not comparing zardari to great caliph(r.a) .

She meant that there is huge differnce between this system n that of caliphate.. Try to read between the lines.

Immunity Clause: This clause has been present in the 1973 consitution since its genesis.

What does the clause state: It states that the President enjoys immunity from all types of prosecutions.

What does the Islam says: Rule of law shall prevail and even the head of state is equivalently subject to this law as a common man.

What did Fauzia Wahab do: Bring to our attention the obvious!

Inference: This clause is in principle contrary to the Islamic practice. Why have we kept quiet for so long and protest only when someone explicitly stated this to us. This could only mean one thing, we were too stupid to figure out this contradiction ourselves!
All molvis were quiet for more than 30 years and now this impetus!

What we should do: For all the people who are protesting now, shouldnt we point out all the unislamic clauses in our constitution and challenge them in court before someone else points out the obvious difference again and evoke Mulla's wrath?.

Harsh Reality: Pakistani government is not an Islamic governement for Islamic government is officially defined as the one which has been set in line with the principles that Prophet set forth during His regime in Madina.

Dear i am not emotional and i am not a religious scholar too but we as muslim should condemn her view. Our politicians should think before comparing things.
She said In the time of Hazrat Umar (R.A) there was no constitution but Quran and in recent scenario there is constitution. So just think about her statement that how can Quran equal to constitution??

What matters to me is not that this discussion is in vain, or one should support Ms. Fauzia or not, or the constitution and the Holy Quran or zardari and Sayyidna Hazrat Umar (R.A.) are comparable, or this issue should've been brought to courts or media or not, or bla bla bla...... Brother its us, the public, who has voted PPP to run the country and everyone knew before voting that who is going to get these votes. I'll tell you something. I belong to a rural area. The day when Miss Benazir Bhutto was murdered, men, women, children, old men, each and every person was sad from heart, even i personally was. But the women ? the women here started crying as if they had lost their sibling. Anyhow, the date of elections came. Most of the women said that they were going to vote for the PPPP, their men forbid them from doing so, some illiterate men also behaved like women from villages and cities here. Their statement at that time would be "hum benazir ki kabar ko vote daingay" What a supernatural statement and thinking it is. Nobody ever thought for a moment even that Shaheed Benazir will not get Paradise by voting for her grave, on the other hand these votes will directly go to the person who has spent his life in jail for his activities. this is how the jiyalas won but still had to form a coalition and then started acting like a leech and iare still not fed up of sucking blood of each and every class of the people of the country.
Ay ALLAH ! Rehem farma is qaum par. Ameen.
