Lover of wisdom
Mankind will never see an end of trouble until... lovers of wisdom come to hold political power, or the holders of power... become lovers of wisdom. ~Plato, The Republic
Javed Hashmi may be a lover of wisdom but he hasn't hold political power. Politics is concerned with right or left not with the right or wrong. It is a game of favored and unfavored, once Javed Hashmi was president of the party and now in the lefts one. He is deeply hurt as he suffered a lot in the hands of Musharraf as a president of PML(N) but when the fruits reaped the Sharifs, Nisar and like benefited. What we could ask to the nation which may grow up in centuries or may not ever. There are many men of principle in politics in Pakistan, but there is no party of principle. Another quote of Plato seems very relevant: "Those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being governed by those who are dumber". ~Plato |

Its not a matter of doing a wrong and accepting and apologizing on it later on. Its the matter of political traditions one is going to embed in the political system of Pakistan. What if later on Chaudhries at some point of time make an apology for being with Musharraf? Taking a political stance, like being with a dictator, is not and can never be just a mistake. Its a policy adopted after huge deliberations. Sorry Mr Hashmi, this "Mistake-apology" policy is not going to work anymore.
