Making of new provinces is a solution or just a political game of politicians.

By the making of new provinces there will be new assemblies, more CMs more ministers. and these minister will be the same which are currently in the assemblies.
by making new assemblies there will be a huge expenditure on these assemblies, huge expenditures on the new ministries. National wealth will be ruined on these assemblies.

Issues will be the same and result will be Zero/Zero

There are certain reasons due to which the voice of making new provinces is getting louder day-to-day.
1. Political upheaval;
2. Lawlessness;
3. Some cities are not given their rights equally;
4. Inside the provinces there is enmity & animosity for the system;
5. Weak leadership.

Default My Opinion

its true that government wants to enhance its vote bank but the main thing is that the making of new provinces will be beneficial for the public of distant districts i.e Bahawalpur etc. these districts are far away from Lahore the capital of punjab, main government offices and educational institution are established in lahore and people wanting to visit Head offices of Government offices for their serious problems and for higher qualification have to come to lahore from distant districts of punjab. If punjab is divided in two provinces the new province will be equipped with advance infrastructure, new capital along with facilities owing other capitals. In this way problems of the people of new born province will be entertained at their door steps.

Since the due rights of the nations of Pakistan have been denied to them, antagonism between the most and the least populous ethnic groups has only increased since 1947. At the core of the conflict is economics.

The Seraikis feel that their resources are used to develop Lahore. The Baloch feel that their resources are exploited only to the benefit of Karachi and Lahore and not the local inhabitants of Balochistan. The Pashtuns feel as though their water resources are used to feed the rest of the country while they languish in darkness due to loadshedding. Karachi feels as though it provides the national exchequer with billions but only receives peanuts in return. The Sindhis are perpetually suspicious about Punjab's and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's dams in the upper Indus that might decrease the water flow to southern Sindh.

Then there are cultural issues, too. But the economic factors take precedence over them.

Yes you are right, new provinces will increase ethnic division and conflicts as well. The motive behind the initiative taken by PPP is absolutely political. PPP vote bank is least in east and north Punjab. The central punjab and south punjab has a large vote bank. They want to divide Punjab for their political interest, to make their government in South Punjab because in United Punjab there are least chances for them to succeed in upcoming generel elections. If they are sincere , then they have to also support Hazara province as well as division of Sindh but they will not do it because it is against their political interest.

creation of new provinces does not necessarily mean that it will further divide the already fractured society of pakistan. the fundamental principle of federalism is that the relationship between provinces and federation is decided by both the parties. pakistan has always had a strong central government. from the creation of one-unit to dismemberment of west-pakistan , it is quite clear that having a strong center does not guarantee peace among the masses.
at this point of time , i am not in favor of new provinces, because already country is crippled with issues like terrorism , energy crisis, umemployment and poverty. moreover there are many regions like FATA, PATA and GB that need status of a province. once the fate of these areas is decided maybe than we can talk of new provinces in the settled areas.
and if new provinces are to be created, then the basis of creation should be decided by all the concerned parties.
i would give one example and you can think of others also.
take language for example.
Punjab : Punjabi and Seraiki
Sindh : Sindhi, Urdu , Gujrati and Makrani
Balochistan : Balochi, Pushto, Brahvi
KPK: Pushto, Seraiki, Hindko

so if language is the basis , then other provinces will also have to be divided. the problem is that this issue was not tackled wisely by our forefathers. india created new states on linguistic lines in the 1950s and now there is no clamoring regarding new provinces.

I have a slightly different point of view. I am a management Accountant and as manager I know that the world is moving towards decentralization. Centralization is power in one hand creates many issues. We have a very strong example of this in our history. Creation of one unit gave no benefit at all to this country. One can study consequences of this system. Modern managers are strong believers that management can be improved by decentralization. In order to increase the control and power of federation the creation of new provinces is very vital. Punjab has strong role in our politics, if you see the number of seats in national assembly, you will find that Punjab alone has simple majority and can easily elect a prime minister. Then where is the contribution of other provinces. The complaints of other provinces about their exploitation by Punjab will come to an end automatically with the division of Punjab into two or more provinces. Punjabis are being killed in Sindh, Balochistan, and KPk. The only reason behind this is that they consider us as exploiters. Division of Punjab will create a balance of power among all the provinces. So I believe that new province should be made.

No doubt, there is a monopolistic behavior of Punjab in politics and its repercussions are evident in every nook and cranny of the country. From the racism towards Punjab in Balochistan to the hatred over water issues in Sindh. And brother has valid point that decentralization process will lead towards more efficient and competitive provincial governance and thus the confidence and trust among provinces will be recuperated. The regimes of authoritarian and centralization has transpired the fact that the provinces has always worked under a suffocating environment and were always tied to the apron of central government. Therefore giving autonomy, responsibility as well as the authority will lead towards better decision making of the provinces.
