TWO options before the Supreme Court Of Pakistan!!
It seems to me that the Pakistan Supreme Court logically now has only two options before it when it resumes its hearing in the NRO case on July 25:
1) It can continue on its path of confrontation with the political authorities. In that case, it must disqualify Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf because logically, it cannot give him a treatment different from what it meted out to Yousaf Raza Gilani. Thereafter, it must disqualify the third prime minister who will be appointed after Prime Minister Ashraf, and so on and so forth, ad infinitum. 2) It must switch over to the path of judicial restraint, overrule its earlier decision disqualifying Mr Gilani and openly acknowledge its mistake. This it can do because the five-judge bench hearing the case can overrule the three-judge bench verdict of disqualifying Mr Gilani. |

dear cj himself doesn't know what he will do, he is waiting for dictation from some one when he will get signal, either it is green or red then he decide what he has to do, our apex court isn't Pakistan's court, it belongs to particular group of people...

Best option is that the CJ should himself resign, already he has created lot of mess in this country. If he doesnt know what his own son is doing, then he deserves to be sent packing.

let's have a look at the matter honestly and see that who is right and who is wrong, one side is the independent judiciary in the captaincy of an internationally accepted chief justice and the other side is the political party in the heading of Mr.Zardari and the matter is also simple, the CJ has no personal gains in the matter and he only wants to come back the nation's wealth lying is swiss accounts and the opposite side (ppp) is not willing to do that just to prevent Mr.Zardari so now the matter is quite clear that who is fair and who is fake so we should think honestly in the national interests and then support the righteous side.

Aur shallowater bhai ap CJ k ilawa koi naam dejieay jo apna kam theek tareekay se kar raha ho (of course main ksi NGO ka naam nahi manga) Pakistan ki service main CJ se koi acha banda uska naam aur efficient karnama bhi bataien. Aur ye bataiye (assuming malik riaz's allegations to be true) k bete ki saza kab baap ko mili hai? Hazrat Umer RA the righteous caliph bhi apne bete ki zima dari nahi le sake the... At all: remember the politics is Pakistan has just started to mature. These 60-65 years are nothing in the context of nations to come of age. |

@ roijen.
I would just say that if CJ was correct in his decision to send Gilani home then why did people vote for his son. If Zardari and PPP are corrupt then how did younger Gilani win the election? People have always rejected military and judicial dictatorships in the past. CJ has closed his eyes towards PML.N, army and his own son, while he is sending elected P.M home. PPP and Bhutto cant be defeated through such political machinations.

The Court forgot that in a
parliamentary form of government, the prime minister holds office as long he has the confidence of parliament, not the confidence of the Supreme Court. Section 63(1)(g) cannot be utilised by the Court to oust a prime minister who undoubtedly enjoyed parliament’s confidence.
