Quite interesting ,,, Everybody is talking about corrupt politicians, but what about " Those " who planned and initiated this corruption. " Those Who " distributed money to these politicians and " used " them. is it our national fear?

I request the learned members of this forum to look at this case in a broader perspective. Please do not narrow down your view over names mentioned in the case. The "people involved " were representing their respective institutions. Their actions were symbolic in nature. Their punishment is not important but the impact of their actions on the public understanding of how politics worked and still works in our country, is of significance. Was it a single event of its nature in our history? Certainly not, We will have to look back at Political history of Pakistan in the context of this case. At least , we have to review our perception of "Sacred Cow".

Action should must be taken against "involved," that It would never be repeated. And Supreme Court is deeply appreciated.

We will have to revisit the political history of Pakistan and understand the events with reference to Asghar Khan Case. The inability to frame constitution, the frequent changes of Prime Ministers in 50's,First Marshal Law of Ayub Khan, Presidential Election of 1964 and defeat of Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah,Atrocities in East Pakistan,Fall of Dhaka 1971 and so on. Please note that in 1990 when all this happened , there was a democratic setup in the country. One can obviously realize the level and intensity of Asghar Khan Case Activities in the periods when there was no democratic governments in place AND who knows all that might be going on right now,,,,!!!

True story..Everyone should be punished, not only Ex-Generals but those politicians too who took money from Intelligence Agencies. Good act by CJ.
Please have a look at Balochistan issue also. |

A good decision with many ifs, but and question marks.... with regard to accounting for the beneficeries, its implementation and role of agencies for shifting politics, many world powers agencies do the same thing and i doubt that this will be the only year when agencies tried to or actualy played their role, perhaps they had done in every general election in the country and were instrumental in making/breaking alliances and governmnets...
