I personally think that india is going on heights of economic progress....one reason behind that there people make the business of small things which are avoided by us.Our mind set is that i have to do this thing not that one.....means ma ty ai km krna ay bhanvy jo marzi ho jy..or inians hr kam ko dhnda bna laty hain....no doubt in our country there are unemployment,corruption,law and order situation,recession,inflation,unequal distribution of wealth,feudalism,terrorism and bla bla but despite of all these evils we have to find our own way,,,i strongly believe that if one committed then nothing is impossible....Lagy raho .....u will find ur way

I think all the factors mentioned here are the root cause of poverty in Pakistan but bad governance and illiteracy are the main culprits.

very nice fellows all comments are good and leading to find out the main reasons of poverty. i want to divert attention of you peoples on the main thing that is policy making about each program and infrastructure of Govt.
our policies and decisions not made by us its all enforced and planned by the out comers whom not knew about the our root level problems.
our budget survey and reports not made on the actual bases of crises and problems its just made only on papers and shown always all is well in country.
bad governess also main factor,due to this we unable to make good planing in projection in country. and leadership selected by us.and we selected always those one who gave us some kind bid or benefits and we sold our vote in lil cost.basic factor is ourselves also.we have set a price of ourselves and sold it any cost either its on our price mark or lower then it.
if we set up ourselves as a good citizens and show our responsibilities follow the law and order,i don`t think so that corruption will also be remain in our society.
population its not matter of poverty its seems due to the negligence's of planning commission's we talk about the chine the she must be a poorest country in the world as by her population,but not as it just because of her planning and economic achievements ans decisions.
and in our country we have all things we have a bundle of raw metrial for all type of industry but due to our Govt lack of planning and decisions and lack of able peoples in Govt we are suffering with crises day by day.

its all causes which you mentioned in question but the leading role is carelessness.they care about themselves not ourselves. just think that we are in power and gather mass how much they can.....

Reasons of Poverty in Pakistan
1. Corruption
2. Our uncontrollable wishes (corrupted mind set of our society)
3. Unemployment
4. Child Labor
5. Illiteracy
6. Low investment on Education
7. Unequal distribution of wealth
8. Law and Order situation
9. Inflation and recession
10. Bad Governance
11. Lack of Planning and decisions (Carelessness)
12. Political Instability
13. Repayment of huge foreign loans

Please correct me if I have missed any point

Population leads all the factors responsible for Poverty. It is , no doubt, the root cause which offsets all planning , techniques , strategies and good intention to tackle the problem of poverty. CHINA does suffer from poverty, i repeat.

All of the problems you mentioned .
Would you like to share that what are the real causes of poverty in Pakistan? AS you know the status, embraced freedom seem like we are at peak now a days.

Isn't child labour an effect of Poverty rather than a cause?

Unfortunately our politicians because they are answerable for 'bad governance' ,most of them are 'illiterate' ,'corrupt', 'irresponsible' and 'careless with their duties' and i think lack of planning is not the right word for them,they rarely make any plan for our country development..
