Either there are caretaker government or security agencies, they will use their all means to stop trials against Musharaf, because they justified their claim by saying anything Musharaf did either wrong or good this was all for the sovereignty and protection of nation, this was the need of time. How much they play this drama involving court, lawyers, politicians, security agencies, the end result will be saving ex-president.

Talha, I understand your sentiments. However, it's naive to pin the blame of such a massive failure on just one person. Along with Bhutto, top brass of army, and dear COAS must share the blame. Bhutto hammered the last nail in the coffin. However, the atrocities against the Bengali people had been carried out since the inception of Pakistan. The first Bengal protest happened as early as 1952. The army's response to the Bengal uprising was flabbergasting as well. By trying to suppress discontent through force, one is always going to alienate that certain part of the population. That's what happened in East Pakistan. Moreover, when we talk about "losing half the country", we must understand that we lost the country (officially at least) after the war with India. The military planning and execution of 1971 war was extremely inept. By trying to copy Israel's pre-emptive strike on Egyptian air force, we invited the Indian attack in East Pakistan (we failed miserably in that pre-emptive strike, unable to achieve any objective). Once India had mounted an offensive on Bengal, our strategy of defense was poor and eventually, we ended up surrendering 93,000 troops, which is unheard of in modern warfare (It was the biggest surrender after WWII). Hence, different institutions brought shame to the country.

Kind sir, no one is expecting anything to change in a fortnight. However, cleansing of the system can only be done once the democratic procedures are allowed to smoothly run for a significant time period. The reason why feudal politics has strengthened in our country is because we have not allowed a democratic setup to complete a term prior to 2013. Hence, there has been no transitionary period, no time for checks and balances to prevail and hence, no chance for a transparent setup to take a grip over the system. This situation has been so unfortunate that 2013 marks the first time in the history of our country to have a relatively independent caretaker government. Nonetheless, the mere fact that our government has completed its term and has smoothly transitioned to an independent interim setup is a sign that things are changes. It will take quite some time to break the status quo and bring the political system along the lines of developed nations. However, we have taken a step in the right direction. If dictatorship is to return, it will just nullify everything and the nation will take ten step backwards.

what about article 6 which says that the person who brake the constitution and those who help him will be equally punished. our respected court only emphasis on the case of judges arrest but give least importance to the article 6.All those people including political parties which were right hand of Musharraf should also be bring to the court of law.

According to my opinion, This is the drama taken by Musharraf to give him the clean shit. Nothing will happen. All are shake handed.

it is not such as a serious as media hyped it. it is simply just contrivance of a preplanned scene to distribute the tension of upcoming elections.
As if it was serious, Musharraf is not solely responsible for this menace which has indulged the country in quagmire.Army & ISI is fully supporting him because how the indicted escape from the court as well as his farm house has been declared as a jail..... is the statute not equal for every one. He must be sent to jail as others accused were also VIP.

Martial law in Pak is like a deap-seated brain tumor, when we conjure up its aghast images we unnerve and say that lest should Martial law is imposed. Things have changed now, there are no ominous signs of martial law. As far as Musharraf's drama is concerned, I think he has been misguided by his legal advisers to untie his parachute and should land, because it will suit him, during neutral/ care taker govt, to campaign. Mush's trial after house arrest is too hard to be materialized as it will bring about to open a pandora box where every one has due share of treason, hurting constitution etc. yes, but Mush has lion's share in this regard. Shortly, I would say that he will be provided a safe and innocent passage for imposed- exile.
Elections will be held within due course of time and it has no relevance with Mush's drama as today his appeal in KPK court has also been rejected in connection with his nomination papers from chitral

Yes perhaps Ex-President/General Parvez Musharraf is in custody now as you may know that He was arrested from his farmhouse because when court gave orders to arrest him, his personal security took him away with them and the reason they gave for taking Parvez Musharraf with them was that He was getting threats from TTP (I don't think so).

Elections will be conducted on time for sure and nothing is going to be misshapen as Chief Of Army Staff has recently shown a white flag from Army's side that they are in ready position to serve and face any critical situation(Let's hope for the best that anything bad won't take place). As far as my thinking is concerned, There isn't going to be a Martial Law Situation in Pakistan anymore. Indeed, Pakistan is facing too many problems but every setup has it's own working style. It's not like that Previous Government didn't served their duties properly so as the New setup is going to do. Democracy will survive for sure and I hope that it will survive forever.
I sure don't understand why Parvez Musharraf returned to Pakistan when he knew that He is going to face a lot of challenges and different cases in Pakistan. Yesterday I was taking a read of Jang News Paper, there was a fresh news about investigation from Parvez Musharraf for Benazir Bhutto's murder case. The news paper took fresh details from an FIA personnel regarding this issue and He said that Musharraf was unable to satisfy us in this case as most of the clues were against him and He wasn't able to answer us accurately where in most queries, He got confused.

Well, Let's see what happens.
