MQM leader hurts pakistanis
it is very sad that after elections mqm leader issued such statements which hurted all of pakistanis.. i concluded that either karachi is hijacked or inherited to mqm. karachi belongs to all pakistanis. why mqm is crying when they are confident of thier success then let the elections be held again. statement of disintegrating of karachi from pakistan is very shocking for all of us. as a pakistan we protest and condemn this statement. we both gave sacrifices ,muslims of pakistan and muhajirs,so don't claim yours only stake in karachi.. we have just recovered from the separation of East Pakistan... May GOD save pakistan from its enemies..

What about those parties which support Taliban
Action should also be taken against nawaz sharif, maulana Fazul ur Rehman and jamait e Islami. Who never condemn Taliban and their suicide attacks on Pak army, innocent people

I was discussing this thing with a senior civil servant, and his comments are narrated as under: ''A rebuttal came from Raza Haroon, a leader of MQM, who tried to rephrase /change meaning of the statement given by Altaf Bhai. However, such statement was expected when at very onset of election results, he said congratulations to leader of Punjab! Today evening speech of Khusbakht Shujaahat also carried many hidden meanings of turmoil at Karachi on behest of MQM As per some analyst on t.v, MQM had been roasting ducks from many years at Karachi while remaining at the side of central government (first with Musharraf and second with Zardari led government). And they were expecting something in their favour in future, but after PML-N taking lot of seats in national assembly and PTI as an emerging power, MQM felt insecure. Putting aside the allegations of rigging at Karachi and Hyderabad (these are the only places in country, where rigging has officially been owned by Election Commission of Pakistan), MQM has been able to secure a good share in national assembly (just a couple of seats less than last elections). And they really enjoy street power at Karachi and Hyderabad. This street power is reportedly strengthened by presence of a very good networking system and an active ground force . In previous government, they even tried to induct a form of this militia in the formal police system as permanent employees of Government of Sindh. Taking a glimpse of historical context of MQM in Karachi, the party came into strength in Zia era, then it became a force in early 1990s, first of operation was called on by first PML-N government in center, but that operation silence was not have broader spectrum, very next government in center (BB led PPP) carried out an extensive operation clean up... But next government of PML -N in 1997 did not finish the operation. However, following a coup, Musharraf needed strength and he favoured MQM in one way or the other, which further strengthened its force. Later government of PPP also needed strength and power, which nurtured MQM at Karachi. There was a little nuisance when Zulfiqar Mirza -being a member of Sindh Cabinet- put eyes towards on MQM, but he was later on silenced by his heads. Then they carried on with their onslaughts.... The solution remains a comprehensive operation clean up by military or paramilitary in collusion with the intelligence agencies. Now there has been a lot of pressure on government for peace at Karachi, because peace at Karachi will be a good omen for development of the country... New Sindh Government is likely to be a coalition government between PPP and MQM. Everybody refrains from direct comments against MQM, even Imran Khan tries to keep silence (though a couple of years ago, Imran made lot of hue and cry that he will be going to London with loads of evidences but afterwards he also kept silence and reportedly his crowd /tsunami at Mizarae Quaid was backed by MQM .. But now they are also getting fear from PTI... .Nevertheless, a government in center -without getting blackmailed by MQM- is likely to be a threat and if some operation against militias of different political parties is carried out, the biggest loss will go to MQM. In order to prevent such a threat, the big brother at London has been giving such comments... A Nigerian proverb fits here, whose meaning is ""When one is taking chickens from its roost, the hen is bound to attack with at least its claws."" If the chickens (ground people from Karachi) are taken out of roost, the hen (abroad) will definitely intervene . ----------------------

The drunk punk even had the guts of saying that they would turn the entire Pakistan into ash if anyone tries to "burn" Karachi. Height of nationalism, terrorism and disrespect for law and order!

Of course , we have very serious reservation about what he spoke. But since Karachi has always been marginalized by the "establishment",then what else do you expect other than rebel? We earnestly condemn Altaf Hussein's threats but again why only Karachi is on the hit list for the rigging allegations? why not Lahore should have re-polls again?
