Default Everyone give your precious opinion

As our government is trying for negotiation and peace talk with TTP for minimizing the atmosphere of terror and a sort of phobia in people, the question is that what is the strategical importance of TTP in Pakistan..??? what is the difference b/w Afghan & Pakistan Taliban..??? what are their demands..??? and why every party seems to be anxious in negotiation with them..???

plz give your opinions..!!!

I) Afghan Talibans are remnants of ex-Taliban regime at Afghanistan and includes Mullah Umar, Quetta Shura, Hikmatyar Company, Haqqani Group etc. They have concerns with/in Afghanistan and it is often said that they do not carry out any important /terrorist activity in Pakistani territory except for taking refuge.

II). Pakistani Talibans are the people who have waged war against Pakistani government and army etc. Flash areas include FATA (Waziristan, Orakzai, Kurram, Khyber, Bajur etc) and Malakand Division (particularly Swat District).

III). TTP faction is anti-state and demands for a sharia based system in country (their concepts of sharia) and have waged war against the state machinery. It will not be false to state that they are not favourable to Pakistan.

IV). Every party is concerned about TTP and other Taliban factions because it is prime responsibility of government to bring peace in the country and unless and until TTP and other Taliban factions are not contained (either through dialogue or through force), it is difficult to bring peace in country.

Regards

Very well explained sir. As it is concise and to the point, would you like to mention a source from where one can get details on the above questions?

And it is also believed that talibans were created by our own forces for the defence of pakistan but somehow they become an independent entity and back fired. And some people are also of the view that they should be kept alive in the country's interests. The matter is very complex and need careful examination of the situation.

I) Guerrilla warfare is very difficult to curtail without resorting to lot of strategies and techniques, USA and its allied forces (with lot of resources) cannot clear Taliban factor from Afghanistan then how can Pakistan ! Further, as stated by sociologist, it is very complex phenomenon, some says Pakistan do not want to exterminate ex Taliban of Afghanistan so they remain transferring border for refuge etc... Further, Afghan Taliban and Pakistan Taliban are two different things and having different ideologies etc. Former being nurtured and supported by Pakistan and they respond the favour and later are anti Pakistan. Some says, later ones get funding from anti Pakistan elements/countries.

II) As said in my previous post, the TTP factions want to have their own brand of Islam, which even do not fully fit into any school of jurisprudence/fiqah!

III) These elements have resorted to guerrilla warfare, which is not easy to contain... And government is having their own priorities and other important things to do, simultaneously there are certain questions, first is it our war to fight (because ones USA will be out from Afghanistan, many of Pakistani Taliban factions will get a business to do in Afghan territory so..), second the concepts on interpretation of Islam etc... Last but not the least, is complexity of its issues ....

All dear members, if we look back to Pre-2001 era, once these Talibaan in Afghanistan were our friends. It was us who produced and nurtured talibaan against russian to expel them with the help of some western powers like USA, UK etc..if we also remember that after the defeat of russian forces from afghanistan, these talibaan were so strong that they captured the whole of afghanistan and paksitani government accepted talibaan,s government in afghanistan without any delay and hesitation. during those days, talibaan were our comrades and they were very confidant about pakistan,s support in future, but after 9/11,everything turned upside down due to our support for USA and its allies against war on terror in Afghanistan and we are still fighting other,s war.

2. Secondly, the talibaan in Pakistan, specially in tribal areas and FATA were the arms and feet of pakistan against pakistan enemies. these people always supported pakistan in the times of crises and war against India. But again, i will say that after contributing in the war against terror, we lost their support and they started fighting against state machinery and challenged pakistan,s writ.
3. Now i will come to the point of negociation with talibaan. pakistan,s new goverment should accept talibaan,s power and position and should sit with them for talks to solve the issue of terrorism and extrimism. Certain things are very much clear about talibaan,s demands. Some of their demands are..
a.Pakistan should withdraw from the US,s war against talibaan and afghanistan.
b. pakistan should stop fighting against their own countrymen.
c. paksiatn should support talibaan against western powers to defeat and take them out from afghanistan
d. pakistan should implement islamic system of government in the country.

i suggest that pakistani goverment should negociate with talibaan and other militants groups and should listen to their demands and then through succesful diplomacy, workout to find acceptable solutions to all thier demands. i think nothing is imposibble only sincere efforts are required.

seniors are requested to comment for improvements.

There is a little development in Taliban issues as one of the top leader Wali ur Rehman Mehsud has been killed in a drone attack yesterday. He was considered to be in favour of dialogue process with Pakistani government while head of TTP HakimUllah Mehsud was not in favour of such talks. So now Wali ur Rehman gone, the TTP has announced stoppage of any talks with the Government of Pakistan.

Post @all

Last week i was watching BBC urdu on express tv, in this program, a journalist who belongs to KPK province dialed number on his phone and called Ahsan ullah Ahsan, both were talking in pashto language. If a Journalist as a common man have access to reach him, so how it is impossible for establishment to get him. Is this not give us clear intend that army is still supporting him and using him for their own interest. Up to some extend USA is also behind him, as they are leaving Afghanistan in 2014 they don't want peace in this region.
