My interview was scheduled on October 15, 2016 at the BBIAP, Rawalpindi. Top six candidates were called, four from Karachi, one from Islamabad and one from Lahore. People who belonged to Karachi were called to JIAP, Karachi. The candidate from Lahore was interviewed through a video-link. I was from Islamabad and my interview was also conducted through the video-link. I was fourth on merit, out of six.
Interview Questions: 1. Introduce yourself! 2. What was your M-Phil thesis on? 3. What was the nature of your job, if any? 4. Any experience related to construction? Because I also possess an additional degree in Project Management, the panel was focused more on the subject. 5. What is PC1? 6. How do you make projects? 7. How do you manage scope creep and manage change requests? 8. What is strategic planning in projects? relate it with the project cycle 9. When do you know that the project is ready to be closed? 10. What is stakeholder management, and project integration? 11. Do you have any idea about the role of Planning and Development in the business of civil aviation? What is it? 12. What is your family background? and from where do you actually belong? 13. Do you realise that we can post you anywhere in Pakistan, and even to Gwadar? Do you have any mobility issues? The penal thanked me, I returned thanks. It was a 10 minutes interview. The panelists were all very soft-spoken, humble and relaxed. It was my first experience of giving interview through a video-link. It was but comfortable!

Yes. It is a usual practice to call five candidates against one seat for entry and mid-level management position and three for one seat for top management position. But this is only true when the candidates' scores are variable enough to be five different numbers for five different serial numbers. For example, if the highest marks obtained in a test are 90/100 and 7 candidates got 90/100 marks then the HR department is bound to call all the 7 candidates. If you scroll up and see earlier updates on this thread, you will see there were 6 candidates, out of which two or three candidates had the same marks. So by rule, the HRM department was supposed to call all of them. Otherwise, for every one seat, top five candidates are usually called. As per my own personal experience, this is also true for recruitment in all federal vacancies announced by the FPSC, attached departments and all autonomous bodies
