I think IRS inspectors can go upto BPS 18 level i.e Deputy Comissioner Inland Revenue (DCIR)

No way. there is multiple promotions for IIR but in the same grade. We can not touch BPS 17 here

17 possible ..but not assistent comiisioner

inpectpr too superintendent and finally auditor inland revenue that will be theast designation..but all of us will be end at superintendent inland revenue..
there is a propsal which is circulating for.promtion of superi tendent ..from bas 16 to 17 hopefully..it wil be.. let see

FBR offers double basic salary, therefore the starting salary will be around 50K.
