Those, who aren't enrolled in any university for m.phil, are also eligible for this scholarship? If yes, what is the probability for them to get this scholarship.

Dear usually HEC prefers enrolled candidates but if your profile is good i.e previous educational background, field of study, GAT score then surely you can get chance there is no doubt about that. As soon as the shortlisting is finished, they'll ask you to get any admission in university within few months.

In Batch VII when I was selected for it, i noticed a few such persons who were also selected without having admission in any univ, then they were asked to get admission and provide the details of admission within short period.

So if you already plan to get admission in MS/M.Phil then you must apply for the scholarship.

I have repeatedly said that after submitting the form you can not make changes in it, hence you should not worry, its not a big deal. Take out print of your name and Roll number from NTS website and attach with the form.

Yeah, you can get, you should apply rest depends upon the competition within your field of study and available seats.

I am unable to create my account on HEC website. I tried to create one but got message that the CNIC is already associated with an account. I don’t remember if I ever created any. :thinking

I also tried "forget password" option and got the message that new password has been sent to your email. But I didn’t get any email on any of my active email IDs.

Afterwards, I tried to email on the ID provided on HEC Scholarships site (under contact us section) but got a return email by yahoo that the receipt doesn’t exist. :cry No other contact details are provided on the site :blink

What to do? Or where should I contact??
what is considered by hec for gat general test, score or percentile ???
GAT score i.e. Marks are considered by HEC for preparing Merit.
what is the merit to qualify this scholarship ?????
Last year the cut off GAT score was set as given in the following link:
http://beta.hec.gov.pk/InsideHEC/Divisions/HRD/Scholarships/LocalScholarships/IPHDFP5000F/Pages/MeritCutofPointforBatch-VII.aspx

This year may not be the same due to increasing number of applicants and increased competition so it may vary.
my cgpa is 3.78. but while filing hec form i write 3.77 as at that time my final dmc was not issued by the department. and my grade is B while i write A in the form...

Well there is no significant difference in 3.77 and 3.78 so just don't worry. It has no effect its acceptable but as far as Grade is concerned take a print of your application form and make correction in it, attach your mark sheet and send the form to HEC, wish you best of luck.

I think in this way you'll get duplicate ID number hence this may cause trouble while scrutiny in the database of HEC. So please make sure this.

no.......the id remains same..
i have made changes 2 times but the id is same..
and i also mailed hec..they also told this procedure.
so do not worry.. it will not cause double id.
in this way changes can be made. hec also advised this method in response to my email.

stay blessed
kai online 300 rupees submitt karanay hon gain ya islamabad apara branch main ja kar be kara saktay hain....
No need to go to concerned branch. Just go to nearest HBL bank alongwith copy of your CNIC and tell them that you have to submit fees online to HEC in given account. They'll guide you about the procedures. If the aabpara branch is near to you, you can also submit fees there.
Thanks ,i got reply from hec,now please tel me,on "apply " page, first drop down in cv/resume but there is nothong to select from drop down, help please
Initially when you are going to make your profile at that time click the option Online CV builder and give the title of the profile/resume your name. Then after completing profile and resume in the dropdown menu your name will appear, click that name and automatically data from your resume will be used to fill the form. Regards

Well its really an issue, its better to ask from HEC, because with D-Grade it will not submit form and by putting false grades is not permitted.

According to HEC rules you have to serve in Pakistan for a particular period after completion of your studies. You will not be eligible for any HEC scholarship till the completion of that period.
Dear,as i have 48pc 2nd div in inter, but when i applied there was amessage grade D are not elligible, any solution ,help please
Does your board follow Grade system or Division system? For Universities that follow Division system strictly and does not put any grade on the transcript or degree, like Punjab University where Second Division starts from 45%, such a person with above 45% is eligible and should put C in the grade, primarily because without putting any grades the application submission process can't complete. On the scrutiny of the documents, the issue will get resolved. However, if a Grade - D is mentioned on one's transcript or degree, than it makes the person ineligible.

Well please note that HEC considers GAT score means marks not percentile score. Well yes HEC surely considers the field of study, worth of the research proposal, previous academic background so its not hard and fast that the GAT score is the only criteria. Yes HEC maintains the merit criteria and merit cut off does not remain always the same so have faith and apply to avail the chance.

One more thing I must say that you should apply for the scholarship as the number of candidates having M.Phil and applying for scholarship at Ph.D level are less as more and more candidate are fresh candidates which apply for the scholarship for MS/M.Phil.
