got a call today for being shortlisted, guess i ll receive letter within next 2-3 days,

meanwhile can anybody plz tell me what am i supposed to do, or better yet, what were the main points in their letter issued by ipc as i am already quite late.

Miss Ali, here are the steps what you exactly need....

1) Immediately register for IELTS for the nearest possible date. You have to submit scores before Dec 31, 2012. Almost 5 weeks needed to get a date in Dec, and result by the end of Dec....

2) Draft a research proposals, 3 references, get photocopies of academic papers attested by BS 17 officer or above

3) Prepare Statement of Purpose

4) Consult CW website for further help.... Register with Electronic Application System (EAS) for CW 2013 also.....

5) Remember! do not apply for an MBA....

hope it serves you well..... you are welcome for any other issues....I am in my office right now, if you need I will send you the contents of the letter by tonight.

was this "do not apply for MBA" mentioned in letter??
(asking this coz i have done my mba)
n can i have your email/ contact no. for further information about registration etc as u people have been going through commonwealth web site for quite some tym and comparatively better informed.

it is mentioned in the CW guidelines on CW web instead of letter....the CW says MBA benefits one personally rather than a nation collectively so we do not fund MBAs..... moreover for contact info please visit my profile..........Can't share here, the CSSForum rules restrict anybody from doing so.

Congrats missali! Got the letter?

Do we have to provide 3 references or 2? The letter says 2 so I am wondering if you (umair) called IPC and they told you otherwise.

Did you ask them the reason for informing you so late?? Kind of unfair for you as others would have started working on the application. I haven't though :p

2 should be from your teachers and one can be a professional one, if you are working that is.

You do not necessarily have to contact the universities. You can either do it now or after you have been selected. Doesn't really matter.

Do let me know when you get the letter. I have my contact details on my profile. Do send me a message. There are so many confusions that I would love to sort out using your help.

hmm same here, so many confusions i think we will sort them out by joining hands and heads together with all other candidates
added my contact number and yahoo+ Fb id in my profile, i will call you later, hopefully by then you will be free. anyone n this forum can contact me for any help (both ways, either they want to help me or seek help- though presently i am in dire need of help )
