I am totally a newbie in terms of scholarship hunting for masters degree in overseas. I had BS in Chemistry and I am looking forward for scholarship.

I found Scholarship position emails helpful but the question is whether we can get an opportunity to study abroad only on:

i) A good Academic record
ii) 6.5 Band Score IELTS

Only these two are required by majority of the universities across the world. Some friends told me that less preference is given to we people from Pakistan and there is no chance to get any such funding or sponsorship as depicted by Scholarship search engines and links.

In the end, I thought to ask from the fellow members of the forum to share their opinion, experiences, or stories of friends or fellows who have got opportunity to study abroad following the above mentioned criteria.
