I am sharing here the experince of one of our forum member who is in Turkay now, he went in the month of January 2013, he shared me with that he had managed to get Air ticket and 3 months expenses by his own. after 3 months he got stipend and money which he spend by his own from HEC. may be this time scene change because HEC has recieved funds from GOP.

He asked about the expense.

you are right in some cases this is right.
Two of my friends went to Austria in March 2013, One of them got his air ticket money and expense of two months from HEC but other has not got that so he managed his ticket and 2 months expense by his own and that money was reimbursed after sometime. After 2 months their scholarship was started over there.

you dont have to show the property infact you have to mortgage or pledge the property so there is a difference between showing and pledging( pledging is e.g you provide your property docs to bank when you take loan and if you default the property is automatically confiscated).

you dont need to pledge the property. Its just to show that if one becomes defaulter, then guarantor is able to pay back, if there were need of mordgage hec must have demanded orignal property docs.

No this is not the right thing that you told.
Its just guarantee that someone can pay the money upto 6 Million.

this has been told by project director in person, the last form in terms and conidtions needs signature of judicial magistrate and tehsildar so he told that its pledging, if anybody has been told anything else please share and if anyone from previous batch can elaborate it more please.

as you are already a scholarship student can you tell that the guarantee of 6 mill. is just a guarantee or the property cannot be sell or moved

Guarantor!!!!

Your guarantor must be a rich man with immovable property of almost 6 million rupees.
The Guarantor will guarantee that he will pay money to HEC in case of any problem from the scholar.
The financial soundness of that scholar will be verified by a government officer.
The gauarntor himself will pledge that he has immovable property of around 6 milliion ruppees and will attach the photocopies of that propety with the pledge.
