1/50 policy discussed as an alternative

For merit quota, 76 marks have been set. What does it mean? If merit could be lowered, will it affect the merit quota?

So got some official news now
The meeting minutes have been kept confidential. The commissiom decided to give presentation to committee on 26 august 2021.

There is complete silience from all corners so things seem bleak for non-qualifiers till today - how things change in standing committee no one knows.
However, when bureaucrates stress on any matter than mostly system follows it. But, if the person chairing the 26th Aug meeting is sypmathetic to non-qualifers then there would be a window of hope for them.

I personally think both sides in meeting will agree on middle path solution i.e. ratio of condidates per seat will increase or merit will lower to some manageble figure - not too much.
