Thanks a lot dear brother for the nice and clear elaboration. That is what I was also wondering that the written exam merit is what should count most in this case when so many people have qualified. But then why does they open the written exam marks after interview?

Isn't it a big loophole in the system? Because how will a candidate know where he stands in terms of merit before the interview? As already agree that written exam is what counts the most in this situation as it carries the major marks.

I have qualified the written portion... S.No 289 , R.No 4390

There should be an award for written qualifiers of PMS/PCS exam too as it is also a competitive exam

Don't know the logic behind this case, but in both css and pms exam, they are following the same rule and keep the marks of those who qualified the written secret... Some reasons may be, Due to this case the candidates will give:
1. More importance to interview
2. All will come well prepared and equally confident.
3. There will be more win win situation.

Zone-3:- Districts of Swat, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Chitral, Buner, Shangla, Kohistan, and Malakand Protected Areas (Swat Ranizai and Sam Ranizai), backward areas of Haripur, Mansehra and Swabi Districts; i.e. Kala Dhaka Area, Upper Tanawal Area, Gadoon Area, Backward areas of Haripur District i.e., Kalanjar Field Kanungo Circle of Tehsil Haripur and Amazai Field Kanungo Circle of Tehsil Ghazi.
