can anyone over here kindly let me know whether seats for local council board are to be distributed among zones or are open for merit throughout the province. i posed a similar query on the local government website but was left unanswered. if anyone have been responded by the relevant A.D (LGE.RD) in this regard can help me out.i will be grateful.

we can only hypothesize and my hypothesis is that both open merit and zonal allocation will be carried out as mentioned in the ad which is also an established norm of public recruitment

i.e if there are 20 seats then 5 are open for merit and the rest 15 are to be distributed among zones?

Obviously seats are allocated zonally whenever zones are mentioned. But a fraction selection is merit based.

Good News for every qualifier who have scored more than 75 on the Local Council Board Test. A few days back I personally met one of secretaries LCB in a workshop, during the tea break I asked him when are the interviews expected and any tentative idea about the number of seats? He said it'll be conducted soon after Ramadan and seats are many (not mentioning the number), and added that candidates with 75 marks should be optimistic about getting selected.
