Default Is writing a thesis Required at BS level?

Is there a requirement (by HEC) to write a thesis for a (software) degree project at BS level, or can a student submit a technical report only?

I need this piece of information as soon as possible. Any useful information will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Of course many people write a thesis. But the question is that is that a requirement by the HEC?

Yes, It is a requirement by HEC because universities have to follow the instructions given by HEC. I was not confirmed that's why I have to contact with one of my friends who teaches in a university he says so. But you may confirm it by making call on the contact numbers given on the HEC website.

Firstly, thank you so very much. I'd really like to get the information from HEC directly but I am sceptical about whether they will entertain a request (of information) from a nobody like me =D

No, directly HEC will not entertain your request. You may request to your HOD or thesis superviser.

Instead of asking HEC you must ask your university as final decision will be made by your university.
At BS level thesis is just the second name of technical report(you just have to write what you did in your project in your own words with some references and background).
40-50 pages are enough for this report.
