I remember once in lower grade I had hard time with sequence. At that time, I learned that sequence is all about addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Since then I enjoy solving sequence so only attempted that.

1, 3, 6.25, 15.625
2.5 and 3 will be replaced
2, 3, 4.5, 6.75 (here add half of the previous number)
1, 2.5, 6.25, 15.625 (here first add the number itself than add its half, e.g 1+1+.5=2.5 than 2.5+2.5+1.25=6.25 and so on... )

348269, 284315, 34826, 8438, 4811, 842, 86
(The logic is: reverse the digits except last two digits, add last digits and append it at the end of reversed digits)
( e.g In 348269, reverse all digits except last two digits, it becomes 2843 and adding last two digits 6 and 9 becomes 15 and append 15 at the end of reversed digits, than it becomes 284315, and so on.)

Ok brother now i understand the question
it says

total time in minutes between 8a.m and 12 noon=4 hours =240 minutes
and 1 hour and 39 minutes =99 minutes

let time before 12noon and after 8am = t + 99 +2t (t is the time to find)
as time before 12noon and after 8am =240 minutes
than
240= t + 99 +2t
240=3t+99
240-99=3t
141=3t or 3t=141
t=141/3
hence t= 47 minutes

So 47 minutes is the right answer

Oh those beautiful childhood days
I do miss them in many ways

Free periods in the school when we used to roam around
Cool games that we used to play in the ground
Small fights with friends that lasted for short duration of time
Interesting classes when we were taught the nursery rhyme

School lunch break when we used to share our food
Punishments in class when on the bench we stood
Tours in school that we were excited about
Free periods in class when we used to shout

Rushing out of the school to catch the school bus
When we used to reach home in a total mess
Little games in the evening when we all friends used to gather
Those beautiful days when we had nothing to bother

Now life has become hectic and has increased its pace
We have to rush and struggle hard to win the life's race
Sometimes I wish would those golden days come back again?
When we were always happy sans any pain

Oh those beautiful childhood days
I do miss them in many ways

Kavitha Krishnamurthy

I think I need to take a break now .... got to make some serious preparations in EDS .. If any other member is interested to keep these mind teasers coming .... I'll gladly participate

Adios
