Default Are the private candidate of no worth ?

aoa all.I live in a small village somewhat 50 km away from Lahore. I have done masters in English Literature from University of Punjab as a private candidate, because of some personal and financial reasons i could not attend any college or university. Now a leading group of colleges(punjab group of colleges) started its new campus in my nearby city(Sheikhpura).I applied for job there. when they started to conduct interviews i was not called for interview. So i rang to the principal of the college to know why i 'm not called for interview ,he replied that it is against their policy to appoint any candidate with so called private degrees.I protested but of no use.
Is it right to discriminate any candidate on the basis of his/her being uable to attend a good college or university?
In our beloved country where 70% of population lives in villages and small towns only 1 out of 1000 get a chance to reach a university, the situation of we girls is even worse because the parents always worried about their DOWRY can not afford their luxury of higher education. In such circumstances if somebody decides to continue studies, but at the end of the day he/she is discriminated then isn't it violation of human rights? ? ? ?
If the people who pass their exam as private candidate are of no worth then why do universities conduct their exams?and award them degrees ? ? ? ? ?
plz say something about it should i burn away my degrees or look for justice?but justice from whom? ? ?
waiting for response.

Its realy sad to know how discrimination is taking roots in our country. Private students have ful right to compete at any level. Dear u should start preparing for any competative exam where just merit is prevailing.

Wish u best of luck

Most of the times, colleges don't appoint the persons with private degrees. The reason is obvious i.e they think that as the candidate haven't attended the institute, they won't be able to be that much sociable and won't be able to handle the students as they are not aware of the art of handling them. However, they prefer to those who has some experience of teaching in any other institute i.e. school of college. But most of the times, such private institutes have already appointed the candidates recommended by some higher personalities like MPA's/MNA's and they advertise and call the ordinary candidates just for the sake of formalities/Kagzi kaarwaii.

You can start teaching in a school. As a newbie you would not only get benefit of being busy and getting some pocket money as well PLUS it would increase a few word in your CV. Next time when you would go for any institute with having an experience, they must think twice to reject you just on basis of private candidate and that sociable criteria.

Expect much higher from God.

Assalamuliakum mubeen.

Dont be dejected, its really baseless to reject you only that u have done private master..Actually my dear why all private universities and colleges prefer to opt and select those ppl who are holding regular or foriegn degrees, coz there entire aim is to cash and market their so called foriegn and regular degrees. They are neither rendering educational service to the masses nor contributing to the personality of the students, but satisfing only thier curse nature and wellbeing

According to me it,s gross injustice to reject a candidate coz he/she is private degree holder.../.dear dont ur lose hope if u have been stopped in one way Allah has open many others...Hope for the best apply some where else where u feel that they will honour ur talent and respect ur intellect..

Allah bless u and give u ur desire job soon.

wasalam

When you fell discriminated don't be astonished, they have rejected your degree not you. It is not the only institution you can apply elsewhere. This type of discrimination on the basis of private and regular degree is highly condemnable. They should evaluate the candidates through test and interview not on degree basis.

CSS is the highest exam of Pakistan. They accept the private candidates then why not other institutions. You should complain for that injustice to high ups of the province and consult CM Inspection Cell. I agree with you then why universities award degrees when these are not considered worthy to even call of interview. Keep trying, do work hard, continue your struggle Insha Allah you will beat regular candidates as well.

Default Private vs Regular candidates.

AoA,
Mubeen your experience is not different than mine, but you know what? I studied in Punjab University Law College Lahore, as regular student. I am also from same town as you are from. I also applied at Punjab College's branch recently opened in S.K.P. but i was rejected too. I applied there not because of financial reasons, but because i thought that after learning, it becomes one's moral obligation to teach others, and share knowledge; experience. I have come to know through a reliable source that the owner of the college has paid a hefty amount to Mian Amir, in order to obtain the license. Although, P.C.C Lahore campuses follow a very strict criteria for selecting the lectures but their branches out side Lahore are pure business ventures. Most of the lecturers in these colleges are near relatives of the some one in the management.
I personally do not think that those candidates who have studied as regular students are preferred over the one's having private education. They rejected you because they had already appointed some one for obvious reasons (nepotism). So, cheer up, Inshallah you will qualify to be a CSP officer.
Allah Nighaban-o-Nasir.

@mubeen saeed
Private institutes are somehow doing a better job than those that are govt owned. At least some of the private institutes are doing a pretty decent job.Maybe the people who rejected your call are too blind to see that. You should consider applying elsewhere.
