These are proper words.
Now this word "Lakh is included in Dic. Though it is specific in sub continent. To me its ok. Whoever ridicules this word, is enslaved by the foreign dominataion

What I can figure out from this is that interviewer might have pinpointed your linguistic discrepancy.
'Lakh' is not a pure English word. Its a word from our local dialects. In English language, the equivalent of 'Lakh' is 'Lac' pronounced as 'Lake'. The quantitative value remains same i.e 100,000 (One hundred thousands).

Talking in terms of million/millions sound better in a situation when figure is at leas one million. Speaking in terms of million for a figure less than one million sounds out of the fashion. Yes, when you are writing a report, or any statistical document which is uniformly based on some set rules and million is a norm in that report than you can say even Rs.0.001 million because it is the standard practice in such report.
Generally, leaving aside standard reports, figure less than one million is narrated in its original full form i.e. Rs.100,000 (One Lac (pronounced as Rupees one lake or Rupees hundred thousand).
