There are memories that time does not erase. 3 years passed by but the dream still lingers.

Jo Rooh aik dafa bn gae wo hmesha k leay bna di gae hai.... He has moved to next phase, its not the end.... Some one had told him in dream that See the last island, it was indeed his last island (on earth only) and he moved then! Still in journey... May his soul rest in peace

Thank you for reminding me that life is much more than the ambitious goals we set for ourselves, and for pursuance of which we keep ourselves eternally disturbed. In the larger order of things, our existence here is just like the flickering flame of a candle or a bubble which bursts within moments of coming into being. What can be a better reminder than this!
This forum represents an era in itself. Countless people have come and gone. They came as aspirants and left as civil servants or, mostly, as human beings humbled by the experience of failure—as better versions of themselves! Indeed, success doesn't make you learn what failures can! During all this time, Last Island has remained the only constant in this "world of variables" we know as the CSS forum. I remember when my elder brother had begun preparing for CSS back in 2010, I used to help him with tech. stuff. That included procuring material for him from the internet, and we all know that this place is the only place for CSS stuff on the net. I always got fascinated by this one member having plenty of medals under her title and possessing an extremely interesting nick: Last Island. Then, in 2013, I myself begun preparing for the first attempt and she was still here. Then I joined the forum after taking 2015 attempt and yet here she is still! I too will leave and get busy with my professional life, or, if I succeed, with career in civil service. But she will still be here. Thank you Last Island for being the spiritual mother of all the CSS aspirants that have come and gone through the course of so many years. Words of our late brother Abdus Samad too are just a tribute to you—a heartfelt wish to be able to pay gratitude to you in person. He left, just as we all do and will. But, we shall meet. All of us, on some highway in the heavens inshaAllah. May Allah gather us all—this wonderful community of helpful human beings—together in Jannat.

I clicked at this thread first time, thinking that this was supposed to be sarcastic but in the end it left me very sentimental and sad.
I read his initial posts and he seemed a nice and sensitive fellow. I really respect the way LI handled the awkward situation back then. It reminded me of my late friend, who also died at the age of 22 in a road accident, 3 or 4 years back. This is a reminder that Death is the ultimate reality of life. This thread touches your heart and tells you something about the spirit of humanity and empathy for others. May his soul rest in peace.

In memorium. (Ch abdusamad, my homies: ZA, CHI-GUM and MSA. All of you were too young to die. The pain of a parent in losing their child can not be measured by earthly quantities. Some decisions we take in life are not the best, but who are we to judge. May God have mercy on us all and give all of you the highest ranks in jannah. (Ameen)
